41-15 final. Good luck to CM the remainder of the season. They will be solid come week 10. A program who challenges themselves with non-cons every year under Coach K. Is it too much to ask for a JCA / LWE game some year?? Hilltoppers fans make this happen before Coach Z retires please.

I work with a couple of JCA fans. I have never heard them say that their fans set the football teams schedule. Is that how things are done in other schools? LWE gets a very good win over Crete Monee and less than 5 posts into the thread the topic turns to JCA and their schedule. Did you graduate from Mount Carmel with MC63? He is also strangely obsessed with JCA. Apparently, all roads lead to Joliet Catholic in the minds of some posters around here.
I don't really care if feeto has a favorite baseball team or not. But why would you mention being a Cub fan in your post? They won the World Series 6 years ago. There are tons of teams in pro sports that wish they could say they won a championship over that time frame. Not to mention hundreds of high schools and their fans that would do anything to see their football teams win a first (or another) state title. The Cubs have nothing to do with an upset pick that did not come close to happening. At least, feeto picked an actual upset.
Doppelgänger! Sorry you have a problem with a football fan of LWE asking for a game that should have taken place many years ago. No problem with JCA at all but to have a school that is 15 miles away and not really a problem to compete for the same players is a head scratcher this game has never taken place. Providence played LWE for I believe 5 consecutive years preseason and they are also a benchmark for excellence comparable to JCA. I would guess I am not the only Will county resident who would like to see this matchup? 20 plus years and the game has never been played. Cubs fan …that question was directed to Feeto. I have no idea whether or not a Varsity game has been proposed by either school.
It would be a good non-conference game.
I do know that within the last decade Lockport and Minooka declined proposed games.
15 or so years ago they played Plainfield North in Freshmen & Sophomore levels games when Dan Darlington was was starting the program but then he was launched and they withdrew when they started Varsity level games.

I had planned on attending this game but plans changed at the last minute. Anyone at the game ? How did East starters look? Did East play their 2nd & 3rd string in the 4th quarter? How did our QB look? How did the D look? I expect big things from a team returning 18 starters!
Thanks Kevin JCHS 81 for the final. I actually was at LWE but did not get close enough to see who the team in white was. Sounds like It was a great game. Just hoping that a JCA / LWE varsity game is in the future and it could save a long drive to Wisconsin for the Hilltoppers opening game. Carbon emissions making the shorter drive a win / win. Seriously, this should be a game all Will County HS fans would enjoy. I understand the class differences and student body selection but I know there are JCA teams that can battle anyone in the state for 4 quarters. Crete Monee also is a solid program that has been built into a perennial power. Respect to the players of the game.
I agree WIU78 this game is way over due. It would be great for the south suburb’s community.
IMO what has hurt this from happening was how East beat up on PC a perennial power at the time, PC never beat East. I will say this game had the town buzzing every year! JCA/LWE game would be huge.

The Cardinals and Yankees are the winningest teams in MLB over the last 20 years and I believe each has had winning seasons the past 16 seasons in a row. Since I am an American League fan I'd take the Yankees, but I do like the Cardinals as well.
