Now that would be an upset I will give you that. You are really sticking your neck out on this one. Anything is possible in high school football they have punchers chance. CM is at home. IMO
LWE will win this game easily. Your comment about CM having their entire team back is impressive but correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t LWE have all but a couple starters back and didn’t LWE win last year’s game? What is going to change this year? I don’t buy what your trying to sell.
Corey I agree 100%. LWE is returning 16 starters from last year. And last year's team went 9-3 and made it to the quarterfinals. LWE is going to win the conference and go deep into the playoffs...as usual.Feeto

I agree and disagree. Sure it is about an upset. But it isn't about the size of the upset. The idea of picking an upset is picking one that has a reasonable chance to happen. This one didn't and was a silly pick. Like I said, I'll have what he was drinking.

I mentioned East would win easily and yup they did. Great start for the Griffins, next up Batavia. Now this should be a great game and their will be no upset in this game as #1 plays #4. Who wants to bet against East next week?

But, I'll explain my thinking. This game showed what the difference between a public school 8A powerhouse and a public school 5A powerhouse can be. No disrespect to CM. They have some horses, but not enough. I didn't think they had any chance of winning that game.
If, say, JCA would have been the 5A type team Feeto picked, I probably would have felt different. I still would have picked LWE, however. I don't view JCA as a true 5A team. But I am no expert...and more importantly, don't pretend to be.
If Feeto is looking for an "upset" this week maybe I could suggest one of two. His criteria is, if the lower ranked team wins, it's an upset, right? So...maybe Glenbard North over Naperville North. or, maybe, MS over Warren. I would guess these are reasonable possibilities. Maybe he isn't going way out on a limb, but it does get him a win if he picks correctly.
But that's no fun. I like that he goes out on a limb with his picks sometimes.
