Someone needs to sue them for copyright infringement. That said another season is upon us.

For the 4th time in my knowledge The Beloved and Minooka open up with each other with the Raiders capturing all the previous wins.

Then why is the Minooka Football Team favored? They return some beef on the OL. Anyone knows football is won in the trenches, and Minooka will outweigh their counter parts on the DL by some 40, 50, 60 lbs per person. Minooka also returns their QB which is pivotal in the HS game, this QB was not the QB in week 1 last season. QB Dooley was able to lead the team to the 2nd rd of the playoffs, something that The Brook failed to do. On top of dominating in the trenches Minooka brings up a sophomore squad (8-1 I believe) which dismantled the Brook (2-7) 41-0 in front of a packed crowd. And it could've been worse.

On the other side, Brook is breaking in a new QB who has never seen varsity football. They lost a 3 year starting RB in the backfield as well as the 2nd leading rusher/leading passer last year. "Where is the production going to come from" has got to be the main question on Raiders fans' lips. Raiders do return 7 on D, that was absolutely shredded by GBN in the playoffs last season. Raiders are breaking in a completely new OL, which has potential, but young and inexperienced. A larger Minooka DL out for revenge isn't exactly how you want to break in your new OL.

So, in summation, although the odds are clearly stacked against us Raiders will come out and fight like heck (pardon my language) to keep it close and hope to have a chance at the end.

Good luck and good health to everyone's teams as the season starts today.

I think the Raiders have a few guys who will produce offensively.

Kudos, Bones. This is some of your best work.

Kids will fill the slots and the coaches will coach them up and they'll play hard. Thanks, I just try to give the people the context behind the games.

Ah yes, one more in the long line of RBs that should have been Raiders but end up Hillmen instead: James Randle, JRZ, Ivlow, etc. He didn't give Minooka the Bolingbrook playbook did he 🤔

It was a hard fought game and Minooka never gave up. Raiders played well and made it easy for Williams, the freshman QB. The line gave him time in the pocket, and the WRs as Soucie said can make plays on balls that make the QB look good.

Defense played fast and aggressive, the way it should be. We'll hopefully continue to improve.

That said there was far too many penalties. Also, Minooka was able to move the ball with some consistency at times. The kid on Minooka, #10, is going to be a problem for teams. He's slight of frame but can play.

Good luck to the Minooka Football Team the rest of the way.
