Sorry if I'm late to the party, but according to St. Patrick's website they will be playing their home football games on Saturdays at Triton College this fall. Two 2pm kickoffs and a 7pm kick against Carmel on Oct. 14th. Their opener against Rita is listed as TBD, so that could be a part of the season opening Soldier Field tripleheader? Anyway, no more Saturday morning games on the concrete at Hanson.

Will Pats and Fenwick be playing there?
No, not against each other. St. Rita is the only CCL team on St. Pat's schedule. Their other non-ESC game is at Glenbrook South. Fenwick will continue to play their home schedule on Friday nights at Triton, however.

The Shamrocks will play 3 games at Triton and Rita's at Soldier this season. St. Pat's and Taft will be sharing Friday nights at a new stadium that's being built at Dunning that will be open for the 2018 season. From what I've heard, the new coach at St. Pat's is off to a strong start in developing respect and the incoming seniors have immediately bought in. If the culture of expected success is established early, there is no reason for St. Pat's not to be a player in the ESCC year in and out.

Shamrocks should be better this year. They have a good upcoming Junior class and some possible Sophomores. A kid named Manaves who will be a junior received a nice blurb from Edgy Tim back in January at an EFT showcase

So I have to assume that since Taft is involved could this be a CPS type of funded stadium? Please tell more if you know...

This a CPS funded stadium with a freshman building on the site for Taft. This will be at Oak Park and Irving. I do have to say one thing I will miss Hanson Stadium, call me crazy but I enjoy watching games there.

The actual stadium was fine...the lack of upkeep....like actual playing surface and the orange lights??

I had heard for awhile now that Hanson was the "next" CPL facility up for a re-do....man I sure hope so

being a city resident and living 1 mile from the new location. There are some local residents that are against the idea of a Taft campus there and they have expressed that to political parties involved. Not sure of the outcome tho. maybe someone else could share more light on the subject. a new stadium would be great for the n.w.side of chicago

The new Taft campus is a political hot potato right now. The ground on which the stadium and school are supposed to be built is on and around the old Dunning mental hospital. That area has had more than its share of issues with possibly thousands of bodies buried in unmarked graves over the years from patients from the old Dunning. As with almost everything else that goes on in this city the issues I've just mentioned are reason to believe that this project is far from being a certainty. I hope the project gets off the ground for the sake of all the schools and youth programs involved but years of knowing my city tells me not to hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
