This is what I was talking about. This is smack dab in the middle of River North. One of the busiest night life neighborhoods in downtown Chicago. Crazy.
White mass shooters are fineWait. Now we care about mass shootings?
Yep. And I still don’t think it’s the guns fault.Wait. Now we care about mass shootings?
Hahahaha. Good try.A lot of kettles calling the pot black. South Carolina has the 8th highest crime rate per capita. And if Chicago’s crime is the result of liberal policies, why are 8 of the 10 highest crime states Republican?
Out of curiosity, did you figure this out yet? I can assist you if you need some pointers. Just list the 10 most violent states in America.A lot of kettles calling the pot black. South Carolina has the 8th highest crime rate per capita. And if Chicago’s crime is the result of liberal policies, why are 8 of the 10 highest crime states Republican?
Still not the guns fault.
Oh right. The thugs on the west side are capable of defeating a freaking army. Stop it.Trump is trying to deflect from the Epstein files. He does not care about any crime in Chicago. One thing is for sure, he will not place any troops on the West Side of Chicago. They will see real life if he dares.

22 of the 25 highest crime cities have democratic mayors, according to AI. The top 20 are all democratic mayors.A lot of kettles calling the pot black. Yup, new here. Don’t have the time or interest to go through your post history but violent crime is always going to be higher in dense areas because of the increased number of interactions. You must be new here. I have thoroughly addressed this in the past. If you overlay a heat map of violent crime over the southern counties that vote blue, you will see a remarkable correlation.
… “incredible” is a stretch but he has been significantly better than his predecessors. Of course … to be fair a Democrat Mayor of Baltimore NOT in jail for corruption is actually pretty incredible.Baltimore’s mayor has done an incredible job lowering crime in a city that has had severe drug epidemics and poverty for decades. So a blanket statement that Dems are soft on crime just doesn’t hold any truth.
I know you’re attempting to be funny … just can’t tell to who …Sales taxes are terrible. Should be income taxes and business taxes.

Why cities are blue and not red, I don’t have a good argument. I suspect that cities just need more government coordination because every decision impacts a greater number of people.

It's not necessarily about dense areas in red states. Let's look at some local examples:
Most violent crime per capita in SC: Orangeburg County
- Clyburn (D) is house rep
- Voted Harris (D) in 2024 election
- Voted Biden (D) in 2020 election
- Voted Clinton (D) in 2016 election
2nd most violent crime per capita in SC: Allendale County
- Clyburn (D) is house rep
- Voted Harris in 2024 election
- Voted Biden (D) in 2020 election
- Voted Clinton (D) in 2016 election
Do Orangeburg or Allendale counties strike you as dense population areas? In fact, Allendale has the lowest population density of any county in SC. Orangeburg is 23rd.
Anyways, the "red state" spin on violent crime is just that, spin. The majority of violent crime in red states comes from blue counties, regardless of population density.
Nah, sales taxes are regressive. Income taxes are bracketed based on the dollar amount earned.I know you’re attempting to be funny … just can’t tell to who …
sales tax actually make the most sense. You’re taxed on what you consume …. Makes perfect sense too me.
income and annual property taxes are theft plain and simple.
apologies but as a Maryland resident I’m quite well versed on excessive financially illiterate taxes.
Visit Orangeburg public schools and tell me those people have the same opportunities as those public schools in Mt. Pleasant SC.No, but those are two of the poorest counties in SC. Poverty and crime tend to be very correlated.
According to some in this thread, all they need to do is vote for a Republican mayor and crime is magically fixed.Visit Orangeburg public schools and tell me those people have the same opportunities as those public schools in Mt. Pleasant SC.
I visited it in the late 90's, some didn't have running AC, the place was in ruin.

with THAT said, Jacob’s and Moore’s retorts to Trump regarding a walk through the city are ridiculous.
where violent crime maybe down … slightly …you’d be a FOOL to think you could walk around most places in the city and be “safe”.
No, but those are two of the poorest counties in SC. Poverty and crime tend to be very correlated.
