Blood and guts......

Staying on target with our Big East players only. Who represented Seton Hall better during their playing days.

I picked my two favs. What do you think?

BTW, this doesn't have to be your favorite player. It could be, but it doesn't have to be.

Really subjective but Sha played four years and was THE leader for all of them. Jerry lost his first year on academics and didn’t start full time until his junior year.

This to me is the most difficult question I have posed to date.

If I was in a Seton Hall fox hole I'm not sure which one I would want with me. 100 reads to date and only one response. That tells me I'm not the only one not sure how to answer.

Once more, I'll take the other guy and be happy as a clam.

Two amazing Pirates. Jerry was such a wonderful player. Tougher than nails and smart as can be. Part of the greatest era of SHU hoops.

Sha had a far tougher road to hoe, which made the success of his Sr yr so great to watch.

Two great players with burning intensity to win. If I was forced to pick one, I pick Jerry. The success of those Terry/Jerry teams is my tiebreaker.

It's damn near impossible.

I do think @Seton75 makes a good point about the overall success of Jerry's teams being a good tie-breaker, but it also isn't Holloway's fault that the recruiting had slipped pretty badly by the time he got there in 1996. If Dick takes Jerry, I'll take Sha and be happy as a clam, too.

Loved your choice of Walker & Sha. Both have represented the school most admirably during & after their playing days.

for me, sha announcing to mike quick is one of the best shu moments. we went down so fast after pj left, and sha was a jolt i needed. and while not top 25s like where jerry lived, shas soph and hr yrs making the nit was real big.

I was at Danny C's restaurant. It was packed with Booster Club members and SHU fans when Holloway made his announcement.

I got interviewed that night but I don't remember the TV station.

Sha didn't know me back then, but when he first met me he said weren't you the guy interviewed at Callandrillo's when I committed?

He still has the tape.

Splitting hairs with these two picks to choose from but I give slight edge to Jerry because of more consistent results of his teams. Jerry overcame his own academic hardships and a wasted freshman season as well. Sha started with more hype but did less due to a lesser supporting cast than Jerry had. Either would run through a brick wall for their team.
