My wife had an at fault accident back in early November. Her car had minimal damage the other car had minimal damage (~3500) that was fixed and my insurance paid the claim. There was hidden damage to my wife's car that we didn't know about until we saw her headlight fogging up. Her car is an Audi A3 the estimate just to replace the headlight is $2000. To fix the cracked grill and a very small paint area on her hood would be ~$3500.
I called NJM to reopen the original claim and I'm trying to find out how much it would raise my rate to do the additional $3500. NJM refuses to provide that info. They of course know and have some type of formula they use when they raise their rates.
Anyone have an idea how this works?
