Gronowski's locked in. I'm more confident in our back up though, we may need him this year.do you think Hank can challenge for the starting spot or is mark locked in?

He has serious leg. Hopefully he's kicking mostly extra points this year though...I got there really late and only saw the 3rd/4th team guys play. I don't think there was anything close to a TD. Stevens hit an absolute bomb to end. It was 50 yards and it would have been good from 65... easily. It hit the top 1/4 of the net.
Yikes
I watched the DSM Register's HawkCentral video of Gronoski's passes and he threw a lot a nice balls. He threw to the sideline on the outs, hit some deep passes, threw well over the middle.Anyone planning on hitting up the practice this weekend?
Sweet one to Koen Entringer too.I watched the DSM Register's HawkCentral video of Gronoski's passes and he threw a lot a nice balls. He threw to the sideline on the outs, hit some deep passes, threw well over the middle.
Pretty decent, but always hard to tell in a practice game with some starters held out.How did the young LBers look?
Exactly. They aren't showing anything. And in game 1 against Albany it will be plain vanilla x 100.Not sure how anyone can put too much into the QB play as of right now as they were t showing much if anything besides plain vanilla… yes, Brown did look as the best option at times but will see once games start… I have plenty of faith in the staff if they think MG aid that good he probably is but not a bad problem to have
Don't expect anything spicy until Iowa State. Yesterday's practice was for show for the kids. Albany will just be fundamental, basic stuff to give the guys some live game reps. I'm hoping that whatever Lester has cooked up, the Clowns will be completely unprepared for it.Not sure how anyone can put too much into the QB play as of right now as they were t showing much if anything besides plain vanilla… yes, Brown did look as the best option at times but will see once games start… I have plenty of faith in the staff if they think MG aid that good he probably is but not a bad problem to have
#9 will be the starter next year. I wouldn't worry if he has to come in at some point this season.I wasn't able to make it. Hearing good news about Brown is nice, I was not a fan of his play at the spring practice, and everything looked far too fast for him at the time. Gronowski had some nice balls from the highlights, but that is merely highlights. I do think it is going to be a big year again for the running game. It did look like the line was struggling at times for the pass protection (just from a small sample size). Always tough to tell with the defenses regularly being much further along than the offense (and Iowa's defense is going to be a top 15 defense IMO).
This is normally code for the offense looked pretty bad.Does anybody really think that Iowa is going to run anything but a base offense at an open kids day?
Boy I don't know. This ain't your grandpa's B1G schedule. If the offense isn't good, 8-4 might be a pipe dream. So expect lots of 17-10 type of games once again. Awesome.
8-4 here we come!!!!

Okay fine. 16-0 National ChampionshipBoy I don't know. This ain't your grandpa's B1G schedule. If the offense isn't good 8-4 might be a pipe dream.
maybe, Helinski hasn't been here too long, and the athleticism from Sullivan was impressive this spring.#9 will be the starter next year. I wouldn't worry if he has to come in at some point this season.
Banks lit it up in the spring game before his senior year. I recall thinking that the offense was going to be pretty good after that exhibition.Has there ever been an impressive kids practice?
Has any QB ever come out for kids practice and just lit it up?
If by lit it up you mean hurt themselves tripping over a line then yes.Has there ever been an impressive kids practice?
