Huge get for the Flyers. Terrific young man who started his high school career at Decatur MacArthur, went to Texas and now is back in Illinois. East Side just got a lot better.

As a Freshman at MacArthur, the only CS8 player I'd ever seen with more athleticism was future NFLer Albert Okwuegbunam.
You beat me to it... Saw him 3 times that season. Kid was absolutely terrifying to watch, I can only imagine what defenders were thinking. He can only be better by now... HUGE (an absolute understatement) pick up for the Flyers.

Another IL kid who spent a year at DeSoto. Its almost like they are running a prep school.

Looks like some Illinois kids are finding out how much harder things are in Texas and coming back.

Idk how this kid did but Sael Reyes and MJC did very well down there. Reyes ended up spending his last 2 years in TX

According to MaxPreps, Myson carried 88 times for 911 yds and 14 TDs.

Not that great, huh? Except he was the 3rd option in the offense behind 2 seniors... one of which rushed for 2003 yards, the other 921.

I personally think you're undervaluing the "some Illinois kids" going down to Texas... and Myson was only a sophomore.... at the 8th ranked team in all of Texas. If anything, the correct statement is "Illinois is lucky to get him back."

Would be curious to hear from either of these boys to know why they came back given they had proven to be successful in Texas. Even though MJC was a 3rd option, he still had almost 1,000 yards14 TDs playing against the best of the best in Texas and has offers from everyone.

MJC will make his pledge on April 25 and has narrowed down the schools to five. Miami seems to be in the lead - and Mizzou is sidelined. Strangely, he has three May/June visits planned to Miami, Auburn and Ole Miss. Why not wait to see if there is a Love Connection during those visits before getting engaged?

Lock in your spot and make those schools go extra hard on the visits since they know you committed elsewhere. His teammate lofton committed to mizzou a few weeks ago with visits planned well into spring/summer.

Can the Flyers beat both Rice and Carmel? Doubtful. Maybe one, but not both. Maybe Owen Too.
