Big stretch of games coming up in their schedule, but they’re finally settling in their roles. Love that Cunningham has been inserted into the starting lineup. Her fiery disposition is needed. The Fever are only 1.5 games out of 2nd place.
It may have been the possession before that where Cunningham made a layup on a last second pass from Boston. Why did they take away Mitchell’s basket off the steal? There was a clear change of possession, was it a foul? Never seen an immediate replay call like that other than for shot clock
Yes, this team has really gelled without her. Wonder if the front office would consider a CC trade for a top quality forward.Going to be interesting how they fit CC back in this season if she comes back. They’re playing really well right now, which I didn’t think was going to happen.
I did not think the Fever would play this well without here either. It will be interesting to see what happens to CC in the off season. I am thinking she could be traded, but from a pr stand point that would cause a lot of heat. At this point the Fever are not really building around her but doing really well. Is there a team that would build around her.\? Hefty price to say the least.Yes, this team has really gelled without her. I wonder if that would change if Clark returns at the end of the season/playoffs and the Fever loses games.I did not think the Fever would play this well without here either. In an interview, Boston said that when Caitlin is in the game, the balance and spacing is massive and automatic due to her gravity. She said it took them awhile to figure how to get spacing and movement when it wasn’t automatic and that they’ve figured out how to do it. So assuming Caitlin returns this season, they should be able to run an effective offense no matter who is on the floor. They could actually be a super tough out in the playoffs.Going to be interesting how they fit CC back in this season if she comes back. Yes, that was my understanding as well.It may have been the possession before that where Cunningham made a layup on a last second pass from Boston.
I could be proven wrong but to me, it would be pure lunacy to trade her, even if a team could scrounge up enough players and picks to make it plausible. I think the fever have done what they had to with injuries, and being able to compete and win without her on the floor is more valuable than a big who might give them an extra five points per game in production over what they are getting now. In any event, this team is agile and fast, conducive to just how Caitlin likes to play. They have a puncher’s chance in the playoffs.I did not think the Fever would play this well without here either. It will be interesting to see what happens to CC in the off season. Lunacy indeed. Set aside any possible roster combination, trading the player that is generating hundreds of millions in ticket and merchant licensing revenue would unquestionably be the biggest fiasco in the history of WBB.I could be proven wrong but to me, it would be pure lunacy to trade her, even if a team could scrounge up enough players and picks to make it plausible. CC was dressed for the shoot around yesterday.
How close she is to returning to live game action, who the heck knows.
Lololol.. They'd have to be out of their minds to trade her. Well, that does make you wonder considering some of the stuff they've done..Yes, this team has really gelled without her. Wonder if the front office would consider a CC trade for a top quality forward.
This. Some people have been listening to Carolyn Peck too much in these broadcasts. This team is NOT better with out her. She comes back from the first injury and drops 35 on the Liberty in a big win. CC22/Mitchell/Boston drug this team to the playoffs the 2nd half of last season.I could be proven wrong but to me, it would be pure lunacy to trade her, even if a team could scrounge up enough players and picks to make it plausible. No, she will not, which is why she's been successful. NO ONE faces the defense that Clark does. Big reason that PB is chasing down some of the rookie records that Clark set last year. They don't pick her up 90ft from the basket, and maul her with arm bars and hand checking the length of the court. They don't do that with any other player.Without Caitlin, the Fever - intentionally or unintentionally - have their opponents baboozled. The natural tendancy is to prioritize defending Kelsey, AB, and/or Howard. But IMO the key to beating the Fever's is shutting down Ari McDonald. Because without her, their lost. At some point, McDonald will start getting the CC treatment.
So why did you respond. Posters were pointing out several others said they might think about trading her. Those are the people who were being adressed. Who knows what those numskulls (Fever mgmt), would do, but the fans would probably burn Gainbridge down.I wasn’t saying anything about trading Clark. Just said they have been way better than I had expected and she’s been out a long time now.
I responded because I brought up how they would do bringing back CC. Then a bunch of people started about her getting traded. Wanted to make sure people didn’t think I was advocating for that. You don’t like it tough ****.So why did you respond. Posters were pointing out several others said they might think about trading her. Those are the people who were being adressed. Was the Babe the "Babe" before that trade? CC is the WNBA. She draws crowds wherever she plays. I think the Yankees would have still become dominant with or without the Babe.Lunacy indeed. Set aside any possible roster combination, trading the player that is generating hundreds of millions in ticket and merchant licensing revenue would unquestionably be the biggest fiasco in the history of WBB.
Trading Clark would rival, if not surpass, the infamous 1919 Red Sox trade of Babe Ruth to the Yankees. Complete and utter disaster for Boston which vaulted the Yankees into a preeminent power for at least half a century.
Jees, calm down dude. I was merely pointing out that YOU were not the one people were responding too. No one said "hey whats the deal with The Big Z".I responded because I brought up how they would do bringing back CC. Then a bunch of people started about her getting traded. You called me out my man. If you don’t think so that’s cool.Jees, calm down dude. I was merely pointing out that YOU were not the one people were responding too. No one said "hey whats the deal with The Big Z".
That was not my intent. I was just trying to point out that I didn't think anyone was calling you out for that. My apologies if it came across that way....You called me out my man. If you don’t think so that’s cool.
