Tarboro vs Southeast Halifax

Tarboro 15, SE 0. Tarboro has committed 5 false starts in the first half. It really makes things hard.
Penalties have hurt Tarboro in the first half. Although southeast has done lot of ball control as well
That’s smart. Like Mitchell last week against My Airy. Those two interceptions in the 2nd just put their defense back out on the field. The Vikings started tightening their grip when that happened.
Kind of a frustrating night for the Vikings. False starts slowed us down the the first half. Now it’s cramps and fumbles. It’s 22-0 and even though SE hasn’t really been any threat to score, their defense has really bowed up and slowed the Vikings down enough for Tarboro to find ways to beat themselves. These are good games to have honestly. How mentally tough are you when things aren’t rolling along?

Agreed. This has easily been the worst game the Vikings have played all year.
I think this defensive alignment will be what Tarboro sees the rest of the way. SE Halifax has kept the explosion plays to a minimum and made Tarboro earn it all the way down the field. Hats off to these guys.
Hats off to Coach Alston. He had a good game plan, and had his team believing they could come in and win. Again, good game plan, called a good mix of runs vs passes, we only had one possession in the 1st Qtr, and that’s exactly what they wanted. Glad the Vikings were able to pull out an ugly one. Good thing the ugly ones count too.
I've always felt like every high School football team always has one game a year that they do not play their best. I feel like tonight that was the case for Tarboro. Can't afford to let it happen again.
As sloppy as we looked, we could’ve easily scored 50+ points if not for those two fumbles. But that’s apart of the game.
Teams are stacking the box, I wouldn’t say they stopped the running game but they certainly slowed it down at times. Going forward going to have to do something to open that box up a little
Hopefully we can run the pistol t we've ran a few times this year.

More toss sweeps as well. Got to much speed to run inside so much. Maybe an occasional QB draw? I doubt it though coaches don't want to risk #7 getting hurt since he's committed to ECU
That happens as you get deeper into this thing. After weeks of big plays and 2 and 3 play drives, you’ve got to be content with getting first downs and not making mistakes. They made mistakes and they looked frustrated at times. The coaches will push mental toughness and turn it into a learning experience.
