Heard today Wilmoths tenure at East Wilkes has came to an end. Anyone heard this as well?

Id say its definetely a possibility, especially with the timing of his resignation. Who knows.

If they haven't done all the interviews at Starmount then this would be jumping the gun. Unless he knows something we dont.
WOW!! Above Lowman...would be dumb!..Just my opinion..Lowman has proven a lil more so far but has also had far more talent as well.
I’ve heard Wilmoth is gettjng out of coaching all together I don’t even think he put in for starmount
He originally put in, but withdrew his name before resigning. Family is so important, glad to see his priorities are in the right spot.
If that is the case good for him, But if he applied and then withdrew did he apply because E Wilkes lost a lot and will be rebuilding or withdrew because of another candidate was the front runner. I have no idea just asking
I heard he was stepping down to spend more time with his wife and small kids. As for him applying at starmount and withdrawing his application who knows the reasoning behind that..
As for a new hire, Im fully expecting one of the assistants thats been there for numerous years even under Adkins to fill the role, Heard he has applied so I would about bet money he is the front runner for the job.

Travis Walker is the new head coach at EW. Has been apart of the EW program for numerous years including under JK Adkins and Wilmoth as well as many years involvement with the Middle School football program.

He's paid his dues and has been loyal, good hire.
Is this a good hire or just a “Yes man” hire bc we have seen other school hire “Insiders” but depending on the situation n all some called good ole boy or Yes men hires ?
Coach Walker believes in the weight room and has watched EW get killed at the line of scrimmage the past few years by Starmount, Mt.Airy, and East Surry mainly and the point of attack. Especially in the trenches by the latter two teams...not so much Starmount...in the last 3 or 4 years. Success starts in the weight room....Coach Walker knows..it..im sure he will instill what he knows inside the will and hearts of the kids on his squads or they probably wont see the field...will that equal wins overnight...of course not..but...JK changed the culture at EW....now Walker needs to rebuild it and make it somewhat sustainable.
I think this is probably a good hire considering he will have more community support than the last HC just because he’s been in the community for so long. What bothers me about this hire is that it feels like they are just trying to get back to the JK era and we all know it’s hard to capture lightning in a bottle twice. Who’s going to be the OC and run that offense ? Or if he’s going to go to offense who’s his DC now because that’s what he’s thrived at.
I heard in the rumor mill today that Walker was after two assistants from the MA staff. Idk if there’s any truth to it though.
Why would anybody from that staff go and work at that school. I mean I know a few of them went there but I doubt they are leaving the Lamborghini to ride in the pinto.

well maybe you should learn how to spell vinegar before you use it in a sentence..then you would look less silly with your pompous azz...but Mt.Airy will be good..If the coaches do leave Mt.Airy to return to EW it would probably be for loyalty to friendships and bonds developed through the years with coach Walker which go way farther in life than the championship that you value so much...so TD..before you try to spit venom..hit spellcheck...because to be so pompous and arrogant..you spell at such a remedial level...I'm sure it was JK that probably invited EW coaches to be on his staff to assist him..and im sure they provided knowledge to the players that would definitely EW if they returned...EW would gladly take them back. It's always been a pinto and it always will be. Except when you had a good coach you know how to make them work. One who didn't give a crap about parents and their desires. But one who made it work. All I will say is a big ole, WOW ! poor ole EW didn't have players that could do what JK needed to win a Ship so he went on to greener pastures and got that Ship and maybe and hopefully another to come. Only time will tell. ???????? Then what were you throwing in the mix????? ?

Random ? for the EW faithful. Is this the middle school head coach that is the new high school HC? Everyone I talked to down that way really talked him up quite a bit from what I've heard the past few years. If so it's a good hire, he will do well with them if he goes with the option like I expect.
I really don't think it has that much to do with that. Color as you say. There are some great athletes whether they are white or black. Did you see that Reid kid Duncan basketballs all over the place. That's right. No what it generally is is an attitude of the parents that their kids should be playing when really they should be happy to be a part of a team. I would venture to say that Mount Airy was more talented last year than they were this year. But these kids are a team. Those kids were two but they had a little too much attitude. And did not play as much for one another as those kids do. I'm in East Surry card buddy we don't have a lot of what you call talent either. But we seem to get it done don't we. Because I community has a willingness to see the best people play. And a willingness to put the work in. Jk made that happen. And so did Grissom. And so did Holt. That's why they won a whole lot. As far as central goes they've never been very good. They have the same problem you have. They can't get them out for one. And they won't work. Big huge lineman who can't even bench 225. And when you try to make them do it they just don't play. You guys got a little taste of it from the gram kid. Super talented amazing. And the right spectrum according to you. Kid ran his mouth. Got laid out first play. There's a lot more that goes into it than what you say.
What started me off was your remark about the word Vinagar I put an A in instead of an E Vinegar then your response had all kinds of screwed-up mistakes. LOL. not racist at all...but the whole lamborghini pinto remark along with a lot of the jargon you guys from MA spew is always littered with condescending belittling remarks about someone else's squad that is way less talented...or questioning someone's decision to leave a team(if he does) that he helped coach to a championship to go to a team he used to play for..i mean it makes perfect sense to me..I mean championships are great...EW missed the chance to have several of them with the athletes they had in the 90s with Luke Samples..Justin Call..and the like...(.but...they had poor coaching)....also with JK.(amazing coach)..and the squad that Elkin stole all the players from..but it is what it was. Now Ew nor Elkin will be hard pressed to get back to those levels again..good luck to MA..good players...but the fans...to be so successful...there all always a few TDs that make everyone hate most of yall...and trust us no one is hating on MA the team..just that dude..who will by the end of the year be retired from Nc Preps for about his 20th time.
I have not been keeping up for about two weeks now and today is the first time I have seen Lamborghini & pinto talked about and I still have not taken the time to look back to figure out what is meant by these terms. Would you please fill me in? Also good look to your EW, Cardinals.
Good Luck to MA...you guys definitely don't need the luck though..The Rams may be breathing down your neck a lil bit...They have a great coach over there..but i still see a 25 pt MA win this year..but the Rams have a couple of workhorses in the backfield to maybe slow the game down a lil bit.
