You never know in the playoffs but if both teams play up to their potential MA by 40+
Always respect a SMC team. MA im sure will take this week serious come to play friday. You could see Friday night these kids came out ready to play as finally had a team on paper that could challenge them. Wasnt a challenge but you can tell this team is on a mission and is ready and wants to be challenged.
I’m sure Coach McClure doesn’t need my input but here I go. Slow the game down. Line up and ground and pound. Use up all the play clock and if you throw just use quick little outs and short passes. If that doesn’t work throw everything but the kitchen sink at them. Good luck Jackets

Not totally sure of all this but I believe Freeman is #71 300 plus freshman defensive guard and Webster #59 OL and DL great on both sides!! I forget the other big defensive lineman. These inside players make Dandy more dangerous coming off the edge!
Cameron Webster is #59 he is not very big but strong as ox from weight room and quick. #71 is 300 lb Freshman that's strong big and can run has good foot work. #32 Danby is verbal to VT is a beast and can fly!

Its called Swag! MA kids are very respectful and play with great sportsmanship. Helped kids up from NR all night and patted them on helmet etc.

Final Score ES 14 MA 12. The Bears missed the 1 pt conversation and went for 2 on their 2nd score and didn't get it. Both teams were evenly matched. ES won by 2 points.
We should have lost..but didn’t. caught a good break. If we played MA at this point in the season we lose by 2 touchdowns. Just an opinion but this MA team is dangerous and will continue to be.

I may be wrong but seems I read, Mount Airy was missing a player or 2 against East Surry and in the first few games, MA was having trouble with making their extra points but is hitting mostly 100% now.lol..dude sounds like a fake
They had 4 starters on the sidelines not just for that game but several more. However, East Surry is "bad" and they have won them all so far this year, and this is one Bear Fan that hopes East wins several more. And by a lot!
Every game is won or lost with players you have. It makes no difference to me what might have been, what could have been. I hope that Surry County brings home half of the State Championships this year.

I pulled for ES until they lost in the playoffs last year and I am pulling for them in the playoffs this year. Mount Airy & East Surry all the way ! !
Mt.Airy's chances are waaaaay higher. Burns in 2a is on a MISSION!!! East Surry will struggle mightily against this years Monroe team. I saw Monroe earlier this year at the Cleveland county jamboree and they were one of the top 3 teams there...( better than Shelby and probably Crest).
Yes Shelby lost to Burns 42-00 & I am afraid Monroe will give Est Surry a tough game Friday after losing to them last year.
Dandy is an impressive prospect. He reminds me of a guy who played at Asheboro in the mid 2010's named Nick Coe. Coe had a nice little career at Auburn as a defensive end.
Didn't east surry have an all world player living in a hotel that played against mt airy that moved back to Minnesota? Without him would probably make a difference in a rematch. Also didn't I see on here were East was stealing mt Mary's signals/plays or was that just made up b.s.?
