Not sure what to think about Hibriten this year. Pretty good group of core returners but East Lincoln beat them pretty bad last year's opening game. Hopefully its more competitive this year.

EL's middle school team last year had some good athletes. Those kids will play tough and some may be varsity.
I hope so as well but I think I’m the end EL will handle Panthers pretty easily in the trenches and their QB could have a big night
Looks like EL returns there entire D from last year and there Middle Linebacker is going to WV.

Dang, Hibriten never plays well on season opener anymore! Shelby is also down 21-13 to Kings Mountain. Hickory was supposed to be powerful this year is down 20-0 to ACHS last I heard.
East Lincoln looked really good and had plenty of talent. EL will be a problem in the 3A West.
Does EL miss coach Byus? Dude could coach and scheme a offense. Seems like a different group of hard nose kids come from that area. Must have a great youth league like Shelby and Crest. Just don’t see the overwhelming talent there but lot of heart and dedication. Thought it was Byus…second thoughts now. IDK just asking?
