Well to start the NCGA has a surplus of billions of dollars from YOUR tax dollars with hardly any intention of using it for anything that benefits YOU.
Meanwhile we have kids in over crowded and rundown buildings while they sit on that surplus and does lord knows what with the lottery fund.
They keep pushing vouchers which take money away from YOUR public schools and sends it to charter and privates.
They refuse to give teachers and state employees a raise thats even close to adjusted for inflation. Piddly bonuses are nothing but an empty gesture. There is a statewide staff shortage including bus drivers.
They refuse to fund a nurse, psychologist, and counselor for every school.
They're pushing for school boards to become partisan, which if you don't see the issue with that I can't help you.
They won't allow schools to start so they can end the 1st semester before Christmas because of the tourism industry.
Public schools are being treated as a hinderence because there is no way for the NCGA to make money off their interest. But guess what they can make money from? Charter and private schools.
So while you keep bringing up the money the NCHSAA has on hand, sounds to be it's just more fiscal conservatism. That's at least how the NCGA views it when they have money on hand. So which way do you want it?
