Barnes without any question is the best X’s and O’s coach to walk the sidelines at Crest. Stewart took the program to the next level, but the talent that came through back then was epic. Barnes could coach any style. QB or no QB. I wish he’d come back today.
He coaches at Sumter High in SC. They’re murdering teams.
Somebody posted on here 2 seasons ago that he wanted to come back.Was that true?

You do know that is a moronic thing to type don’t you. You couldn’t possibly know that. Check out Sumter, see where they were before he got there and see what’s already been accomplished. In fact talk to your coach and have him set the trip up, and go get beatdown.
They were close Chopper from my understanding. He loves this area, things were in the works and they suddenly changed. There are those on this board that could speak more on it, don’t know if they would.
How can you make that kind of statement? Sumter has a proud football history and have always turned out FBS football talent as far back as I can remember. They also have a few South Carolina 4A state titles under their belt if you didnt know.
You and CrestRulz kept it straight up but my sarcasm was intentional. I hate that “never” crap. The right talent with an already proven coach can do a lot of things at this level. I may be a Burns guy but I’m also a realist. Those kids played hard for Barnes.
