No surprise really. This was going around the day the NB coach resigned. He's stepping into a mess. Whoever takes over at Pamlico will have enough talent to go far in the playoffs again.
Far from a mess, talent is there. He’s the type of guy that can make a instant impact in a wide open 4A. He’ll bring some kids over with him as well. Future is bright!
You are bragging about bringing Pamlico County kid's in to New Bern?? Like I said it's a mess.
How far is New Bern from Pamlico County HS?Far from a mess, talent is there. He’s the type of guy that can make a instant impact in a wide open 4A. He’ll bring some kids over with him as well. Future is bright!

Incredible that players will pick up and move just to be with a coach.Right over the bridge

Not much of a pickup when it’s over the bridge.
this is a question and not meant to be an accusation or slanderous, but does New Bern have a history of getting Pamlico players over the years when New Bern is doing well and Pamlico is down? Not much of a pickup when it’s over the bridge.

Yeah I get that, I know typically New Bern has plenty of their own talent without needing any Pamlico kids. What I'm asking is if any Pamlico kids have transferred to New Bern in the past to play football. Our players are home grown. They’ve reached 7 4A/4AA title games the past 15 years with New Bern, NC talent. Pamlico just reached their first state title game.

Well anyway Tutt is a great pickup if he comes with Nowell, he is definitely talented enough to make an impact at the 4A level and is only a 10th grader. He's a future college player with his speed and strength and already being a legit 6'0 195.
You had mentioned Nowell may be bringing more than just Tutt with him, if so I could definitely see his best lineman Armstrong coming along too. Armstrong was other kid on their roster (besides Murray and G Jones who're both graduating) that looks the part of 4A player at 6'2 260 with good athleticism.

Doesn't the NCHSAA have a rule about players following a coach?
No, there must be a physical address change OR if both LEAs sign off on it then he can play. Usually means HC and principal from old school signing off on it. If they do not then he must physically move is the NCHSAA rule on it I believe.Doesn't the NCHSAA have a rule about players following a coach?
PC players are traditionally loyal to the County, cant see him leaving his "family" to go play in that mess that NB has going on and take beatings his last 2 years. If he wanted to transfer to be noticed he would probably go to Havelock, they just lost 2 sr RBs
We shall see, but he definitely cant come up to 4a running those same 3 plays he did in 1a lolThose beatings are about to stop. A lot of great things happening behind the scenes at New Bern. Talent on the roster and plenty coming in from the middle school ranks. This guy will do wonders in his first year, take it to the bank.

Transferring to which school was rumored, bcuz I haven't heard that one yet? That was rumored even before the coach leaving.

Havelock.
They took a guy from 1a last yr from EC...But wait, they’d take a guy from 1A? What are your thoughts on that Otis, considering Havelock is 3A.

It was a inside joke.
Well I'm late but i did realize what you were doing. I think you got me pegged! lol. I have no idea if Havelock had interest in him. I work in Pamlico County and sometimes hear a little.

I would like to know how u are so sure they have interest in him, I don't think they lack athletes AT ALL to run the ball in HavelockOh they do, I promise.

But what does the middle school have to do with him saying they have interest in a rising jr rb???I can tell you the middle school talent the past few years in Havelock has not been what it was the past.

Ohhh I got u... I think they will be ok tho, parents are seeing what's going on in Havelock and many are not willing to let their kids waste 4 yrs in programs who have no intention on helping they kids past that 4 yrsNothing. I was responding to you comment about not lacking athletes. Just mentioning they are not coming in as in the past.
