Kings Mountain vs Statesville

This will be a good one. Statesville should be undefeated coming into this one. Bad second half play caused 3 losses. Anyway the Hounds have the defense to compete with any team in this bracket. Offensively we have about 6 or 7 good receivers and one heck of a running back core led by Chavion Smith. Our Qb is young but can throw effectively down the field and our offensive line is big. If we can minimize penalties and turnovers, I like our chances.
this is where playing in the NPC will hurt Statesville. aside from playing Northern Guilford early in the season, they’ve played nobody anywhere close to KM. KM rolls

Good point. But we have some athletes that can ball when focused. Our youth hurt us at the beginning of the year. Now it has turned into a hunger and a will to win. Lastly Northern Guilford was nowhere near the best team we have played this year. Big respect to KM but they had better come to play.

Nothing like the good ol' eye test to rate teams. I saw both teams play Statesville. SI was clearly without a doubt the better team despite what Simmons supposedly says. That's why the game is played on the field.Just look at the differences in the final scores.

For anyone who has been to Statesville highschool does everyone enter through the home side. Or is there a ticket booth on visitors side.
The ticket booths are on the home side. Get there early, campus parking fills up fast.
Yeah, the first option is on campus. Second on North Center St towards downtown. You can either park on N Center on the curb or at one of the closed businesses along N Center. Also if you are coming from the Kings Mountain-Cherryville area, l would not take the I-85/485 to I-77 route to Statesville because of traffic due to construction on I-77 it will be backed up. When my ex lived in KM, I used to go thru Hickory and hit 321 to Lincolnton to Cherryville then to KM. You would take I-40 east to Statesville from Hickory and get off on the N Center street exit. This was quicker to Statesville in my opinion from KM. Be safe.
I think this is a good matchup and the Greyhounds have the best advantage by playing this game at home. Kings Mountain has some very good skill players and their line is good as well. I really feel they have the advantage with overall talent and the game will come down to whether Statesville plays up to their potential. The Mountaineers have such a diversified attack it will be hard to stop them. I feel KM will win by 10 points.
Statesville will play better than last week. A 1pt KM win with be just fine with me lol. I say KM by 10-14pts.
