Very good win for the Spartans last night who continue to get better each week. Coach Tiesuan Brown has done a great job rallying the troops. 7-game win streak has been grounded in stingy defensive play and punishing rushing attack. Last night Tabor expanded the passing game a bit and completed some huge third down conversions thru the air. Marvin Ridge was impressive but just couldn’t get enough of their passing game going on a muddy track. Next up for the Spartans is Asheville Erwin. Anybody know much about them? I noticed they have only lost one game all year. They must be a great football team. Should be a fun matchup for Thanksgiving. Tabor will be a tough out for anyone in 3AA at this point

We aren’t your typical mountain team. We have some guys who can run and are really dangerous in space. On offense we spread you out and try to force you to tackle in space.
I would say Tabor is definitely the favorite. Hopefully we can make it a ballgame.

I don’t know a great deal about North Davidson, but I love me some Shy Tuttle. The big man has had some unfortunate setbacks on rocky top, but he is a warrior.
The young man has faced some adversity for sure! Have enjoyed watching him play. Says a great deal about his drive and character to battle through the injuries and still striving to better himself and his God Given Talents! when you see humans that large move so quick, all you can say is wow!
erwin is a very talented team.they have a ton of speed. one receiver is especially fast and i wouldnt try covering him with one man. they run the ball effectively enough to open to passing up. good qb too hes not real big but throws it real good. they will be a tough out for anyone. this should be a fairly high scoring game in my opinion.
Tabors game is always speed. They also always have good linemen. Not always big but usually good size and great technique. Not just a bunch of athletes.
On defense they sacrifice size for speed. Passing teams usually fail against them. Running it down their throat is usually your best bet. Best to be balanced but only use the pass as a diversion to keep em honest.

Shyheim Tuttle is a Tennessee Volunteer. Was a four year starter at North Davidson. Has had injury troubles since high school but is a true warrior and keeps fighting.

Hey strength on strength I like it. Should be interesting to see if we can move the ball against a team with their athletes. Like I said earlier we aren’t your typical mountain team. We have enough athletes to compete off the mountain, but we haven’t seen a team as athletic as Tabor. In the past we haven’t attempted to run the ball enough, and that’s not the case this year. We will run it and throw it. Simeon Thompson will need to have a big night for Erwin to have a chance.
i agree with you warrior . that thompson kid is real fast and i think he will keep you in that game with a great chance to win. good luck to you guys.
