The Mountaineers have taking their share of ribbing from other Cleveland County football fans about their loss the Shelby. It’s an opportunity for the Mountaineers to make up for that (some) against the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs beat those same Golden Lions who derailed KM earlier and still have an opportunity to go undefeated in the County. This game has always been unpredictable but Burns have been giving up yards and points to teams that do not have the offensive firepower of the Mountaineers. I respect Devine’s game plans in big games but too much KM firepower in this one. KM 34-20...

BURNS beat SHELBY by 18 points, SHELBY beat KM by 5 points, to me that makes BURNS at leased a 3 touchdown favorite over the highly overrated MOUNTAINEERS.
Burns always plays KM close. KM has a huge D line that will be hard to run on.
Lloyd will come out and pass,pass,pass, and pass more with the hopes of beating the Bulldogs by 50+ ..... that same game plan got KM in trouble against Shelby Lmao
KM might hang 50 on Burns but if recent history is any indication, this could be another great game between these 2. KM has more weapons but Kujuan Pryor is the great equalizer.
This one may be more interesting than what it says on paper. Just have a feeling. Not sure why yet.
KM SHOULD blow us out but I dont think anybody would be surprised if it was close. I think KM will commit to the run more this week and break off some big plays. If Lloyd tries to sling it everywhere then he should be demoted to JV soccer coach. I think Burns will struggle on O and our D will play well on high energy at first. Pryor has had some great games and putting up great stats... Its a shame the CC Player of the Week is a vote now.
Yes I agree........not a legit award anymore. The Star needs to change it back next year.

We don’t turn it over twice in a row and I swear it’s a 56-35 game. Good lord at the big plays. Burns dug themselves in a hole with the fumbles.

The Dawgs have given up yards and points by the bundle this year so this wasn't the best matchup for them. Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug. Forget about this one and get ready for Crest next week.

Who knows you might get Pryor. As great as that kid is and as hard as he plays this getting our butts kicked most weeks has got to be getting really old. I can only imagine how it must feel to bust a 70 yard TD run only to have your weak Defense give it right back in 1 play on yet another up the middle run. Wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him wear green or black for his senior year.
You don’t know shi** about him if you think he would leave. Unlike some of these other “I want a trophy” kids he is loyal. I don’t know him but what I have read about him, he is exactly what you want out of an athlete.

No I don’t know the kid. I just said it wouldn’t surprise me if he left. Why? Because it has happened to Burns over and over. If he is a loyal Dog that is great. I hope you all are right because we need him and a few more like him to get Burns back to winning like we used to. I miss those 10+ win seasons and playoff runs.
Don't be surprised if he goes on to play baseball. So that being said we know he won't go to Shelby and Burns owns Crest in baseball so....
advertising that the grass is greener on the other side doesnt do any good. Specially this day and age when kids jump ship so easily. Burns will get it turned around, its not gonna be over night. We have said it for a while now is that Senseny set the program back at least 5 years. That includes the transfers trend that ignited during that time. Devine can change the culture but its gonna take some time, the Middle school has some good athletes and the JV team has some good kids.
