ER has had their ups and downs. I’ve seen some real studs out on field one year and then another they fall off the map.

They have the athletes to compete offensively with most teams. Defense is the question. Looked great Friday night against Burns but mediocre, at best, the prior games. The thing I noticed Friday night is that they didn't quit on plays, stuck with it, and what could have been a big gain turned into a 3 or 4 yard gain.

Time will tell. Don't write em in but dont write em off either...

I doubt they win the conference. Beating Burns isn't a great measuring stick this year. When you have a school that hasn't been successful in years past, it's very difficult for them to make a jump of winning the conference and going deep in the playoffs in just one year. Even though Shelby is down this year, they will most certainly get better each week and will give ER all they can handle. Having said that, this is the best ER team I've seen in a long time. They can flat out run the ball. However, they need to find some sort of passing game because they will play someone that can stuff the run eventually.

This sounds just like the hype Burns had after beating Shelby. Too early to crown East Rutherford king of the west. Wins over South Stanley, North Gaston, South Caldwell and Burns is not an indicator of greatness. For me, the jury will be out until the Cavs meet South Point and Shelby towards end of season.

They most likely won't face South Point or Shelby in the playoffs, so they actually have a shot at 2A West save for Reidsville(if they go west)/Mt Heritage

Not taking a jab but sounds like they'll be lucky to see the postseason this year. Idk how many teams from each conference got and you can go ahead and eliminate Chase now but if its only 2 or 3, they may miss out.

South Point and ER is going to be a good game. Raiders will be better by time that game rolls around but how much better will be determined by how much better they tackle that night. Mauney will create problems if they aren't finishing tackles.
