Well we can talk about it now. Probably the game of the year in the WMAC. Reynolds has won 26 straight conference games, and after a tough start they seem to be rolling right along.

Erwin hasn’t beaten Reynolds since 2014, and look to get off to a 3-0 start. Kendrick Weaver has done it all for the warriors to start the season with 10 td’s through the first 2 games. Erwin will have to improve on defense in order to slow down Alex Flinn and the rockets.



It should be a great game in Leicester on Friday night. Unfortunately this could be the game that decides the conference champion, on the first night of conference play. I just wish it could be played a little later in the year.

I might go to this game Friday 2 heavyweights going to war. In my expert opinion 2 best teams in the mtn. Hope I didn't make my Pisgah friends mad with that comment.

This game should be a fun one. Most are usually close between these two clubs with a rout thrown in there every once in a while. I've been impressed with Erwin for the most part. Their offense is potent with 5-6 good receivers and a consistent qb. Their defense is good up front for the most part. They bend but don't break. What worries me is their secondary. That's been a glaring weakness this season. They will have to play a few guys both ways against ACR. They have a D1 qb and he will pick them apart if they don't. There is no way Simeon Thompson shouldn't play defense Friday night. He's a game changer offensively but they have to use him both ways this week. That being said I will make my prediction. Im thinking something along the lines of 35 28 Erwin. Had to pick my boys.

Should be a good game and the conference championship will most likely be decided the first week of conference play. I think ACR has a really good secondary this year, which should help slow down Erwin's passing attack. I think this game could go either way, but I will give the slight edge to the Rockets due to the fact that they have Shane Laws, and he usually finds a way to win these close games.

On another note, Coach Laws is 3 wins away from having the most wins in ACR history. He is in his 12th season and his current record is 114 and 37.

Danny Wilkins was 125-31-1 in his first 12 seasons .
Sorry had to do it being a cougar.

Of course we also had an absurd amount of D1 talent and future nfl players in that time too

Erwin seems to rely on a high octane offense every year. I've never known them to have any defense to match.

Erwin is as loaded on offense as they have been in quite a while. I think the defense has some talent, but they do have to do a much better job in the secondary. We’ll get to find out real quick on Friday how much they have improved over the past couple of weeks.

looking forward to this game. i believe defense will decide the outcome more than the offenses though.our secondary seems much improved and is very fast to the ball.should be a great game. go green

I agree. I don't ever remember Erwin having so many weapons on offense. I think #6 is a college player in the making. He is only a soph so he will only get better. You are right about the defense. To have a shot against ACR or Asheville they HAVE to play some guys both ways. Do you know if #10 will play this week or how long he is out? He looked great on defense and is our back up qb.

I hope it is a good clean game. Reynolds is the favorite and will be very hard to beat. Should be a great atmosphere.

Not sure honestly. This Friday will be the first game I’ve gone to this year since the scrimmage at Hendersonville.

This should be a dandy. I haven't seen either team play but you will have the two best qb's in the mountains going at it. I think Reynolds will pull it out but won't be shocked if erwin wins either.

Pretty much how I feel. 2 good teams going head to head, and either team could win. Should be a dandy. Whoever limits their mistakes will win.

I will say the new guy does a much better job than Wlos, but he is no Andrew Pearson.

Hahahahaha Erwin starting to feel it at 3-0 then get waxed like a cheap surfboard at Myrtle Beach. This is why Erwin threads are hijacked. Pisgah is mountain royalty, Erwin is the court jester.

Well... that sucked. Flinn is the man, and he let everyone know it tonight. He torched Erwin all night long. No question who the best qb in Wnc is. Hats off to the Reynolds coaching staff as they do an amazing job every year.

That’s about all I have tonight.

Well Asheville is probably the most undisciplined team in the mountains. I bet we lead wnc in penalty yardage so that could be something that could hold us back. But our wrs are really good
