Havelock vs Wallace Rose Hill

Coaches at West Craven told me Havelock was the best team they have ever faced. I was going to watch WRH play Gibbons but after hearing the coaches talk about Havelock I decided to go see this game. I missed our game with Havelock taking my daughter to enroll in college. Havelock is loaded. You can't make mistakes with them and they are good at forcing turnovers. Good news for Wallace Rose Hill is that they will face nobody in 2A football like Havelock. I met a guy beside me at the game and was talking to him and I felt like i had met this guy before. Turns out he is a retired highway patrolman that use to work around Vanceboro. He had me for drunk driving twice in the early 80's and gave me a break both times. It was worth the trip seeing him again!
Congrats on the win. Sorta feels like losing a game between the have not's! Maybe one day we will be relevant again. After seeing Havelock tonight I know they could have gone triple digits on us had Caleb wanted to.
We’ll be back shortly, just gotta take our lumps. Playing freshman and sophomores. As far as Havelock, hard to gauge how good they are based on their first three opponents.
Wallace is a good team. They run the ball well. Backups played most of the 4th qtr. Havelock is just on another level right now. I hope they can stay healthy. It will interesting to see how they go through the playoffs. I know its week 3 but but dang.......
Wallace is decent, but def not as good as last year. How many turnovers has Havelock forced in three games? Over 10, for sure. The Rose game will be fun in a few weeks, will be interesting to see how they do against the pass.
Wallace lost a lot when Javonte Williams graduated. I saw him twice last year against NE and then Reidsville in the championship. In both games Williams scored on long runs of 60-70 yards on the first play from scrimmage. Tonight after the first play by WRH I turned to dog79 and told him this was my 3rd game and the first time Wallace didn't score on the first play from scrimmage! I'm a State fan but I'll still enjoy watching him at Carolina. A lot of people say he is too small. Bull! Watch what he does!

Congrats to Havelock on winning the revenge game. when the score was 41-28 and WRH seemed to have all the momentum I thought they might make a game of it but going for an onside kick after a penalty was pretty questionable to put it nicely. When you returned it for a td I could see the defeat in our players faces, they knew that was game. But if you told me one of the smallest 2a schools in the state would split with a powerhouse 3a team like Havelock I would take it. Very well may be the best team we will face all year. At least our JVs got it done. Good luck rest of your season. Hope you guys win State.
