Crest barely survived this team last year. Roberson QB throws it all over the field. Crest D did a good job against SP but this is a much different test than South Point. Have the Crest defensive backs improved? Does this game prepare the Chargers for their big game against Shelby QB Bess in a couple weeks? Thoughts?

C'mon Cresties, The people want to know.

Tc Roberson is the poster child of doing less with more. They are crest equal getting off the bus. Not so much on the field.
Having said that, their q.b is good

Game shouldn't have gotten close last year but that was how that season went for Crest. Up 20-2 on a team in the second half and you should be able to cruise to a win. Crest should win but they have to cut out mistakes that let teams hang around.

That’s nothing.

In 2002 we were up 16-3 in the fourth round against ashbrook with 2:31 left and lost in OT.

In 2004 we were up 20-0 in the fourth round against concord with 5:43 left and lost 21-20.

Now THOSE are choke jobs

Once proud and mighty, Asheville has become a haven of hippies, pride parades, and destructive Soros funded antifa freaks swearing and smashing everything they dislike. Alas, the city has suffered under this zero sum society and its willing shills.

Regrettably the football program at AHS only reflects this and they are no longer on anyone’s radar except for an easy win and pink Gatorade. I hate it, but we all know it’s so.

Good luck getting back the swagger AHS. You’re going to need it. A lot of it.

I have to admit I agree with this however I will say, I personally am in no way shape or form involved in any of the above mentioned people. I’m not a fan of the people who go by the motto of “keep Asheville weird”

Breweries are pretty good though.

Just wondering XChamp- do you have us favored this week lol
If healthy we should be fine and I’m hearing we are....so I guess we can squeeze out another victory. I will say the TC QB is a really good player and if he plays well maybe they pull an upset.

9496, I do have Crest winning this game. Should win it easily but if the TC QB gets on a roll like last year it could end up being much closer than it should be. I still think you can relax and enjoy the game

You forgot one of the most sought after places in the country to live and top 10 on about every list. Not to mention surrounded by absolute beauty. Sorry, no mail boy can afford buying a house in that city That being said Asheville has dropped of a little but they don't have the luxury of being a private school playing in a public school field like some others.

Crest DB’s looked way better in the scrimmages this year compared to regular season last year. They will definitely get tested Friday. Hope the D line can put pressure on QB. If so, DB’s could get some picks. I’m more excited to watch Graham run the ball. Kid is going to have a breakout season.

I love our chargers chances this week. I love coach eddins one game at a time focus. Thats important for hs kids. Defensively we need to play sound and offensively we need kemmerlin, zanders, green and graham to keep clicking behind our hard working, talented o line. Evan davis will be key as well. Go mighty chargers.

Last year I think Chargers DB’s picked 3 or 4 against TC and I also don’t expect to see Kemmerlin run as much this week

I tell you one thing if Tc could ever play as good as they look getting off the bus, then they would have one fine program. Unfortunately for them they have to play after warmups.... Crest by 28+

Crest is better than they looked last week against South Point. The later the season gets the stronger this team will be. Their QB runs very well for a big guy and he throws the ball with a lot of touch so they are going to make you defend them straight up.
Their defense is big, physical and fast. Not too many teams going to score a lot on that defense.

Crest wins 42-6. Crest DB’s did a good job. TC QB threw over 50 times. Refs seemed flag happy tonight. Good win. On to Shelby in 2 weeks. Heard on radio Shelby line struggled against ACR pass rush tonight.
Crest should spend next 2 weeks working on blitz packages. Kitties are vulnerable up front.

TC Qb was a good player to watch and I hope the WR is able to come back from injury. Crest better figure out some things on all those needless penalties on special teams. Was fun to see all those big play touchdowns and some of the backup guys get to play.

Our chargers had alot of big plays and some monster contributions across the board. I was impressed with the play calling and i believe 3 different receivers caught td passes from Peyton Kemmerlin. Graham had a 99 yd td and the defense played awfully well. Hats off to tc qb as well, excellent talent and competitor.

When your one dimensional, your going to struggle with pressure. This looks like a repeat of last year. Defense will have to carry Shelby against quality opponents. It won’t take two weeks to see our issues.

Happy to see the bye week. We had way too many turnovers and penalties last night. Hopefully we can clean it up before Shelby in 2 weeks. Coach Eddins is a very good football coach and it's good to be 2-0. The offense was barely on the field all night whether it was turnovers or scoring quickly. We showed exactly what we are capable of with the big scoring plays all night though. The defense played outstanding considering how much they were on the field. The DB's were in coverage most of the night with Gossett throwing over 50 times. That is hard on the DL having to rush the passer basically all night. They showed us a lot last night. Special teams gave the ball back to TC several times with bad penalities, but I love the aggressiveness. For us to have as bad of a night as we did last night with the mental mistakes and to still win 35-6 tells me a lot about this team. Get ready boys this team can be very special.

Agree. One of their biggest problems I saw first hand was lack of discipline. They didn't care if they won or not.On the sideline they were talking about everything but the game.

TC Roberson is NOT a football school period. This is a baseball, soccer and football community and it's NOT going to change. They have had good seasons under Houston but that's about it. Also. I agree with the poster above and what he says about Asheville. It has become a haven for the far radical left and unfortunately, this attitude has permeated the city school district and the schools themselves. Athletics from what I heard is not really supported in the school and especially football is looked at as a male dominated macho and violent sport. There was recently a politician publicly complaining recently that far leftist ideology was being taught within the school and that it was a violation because this has no place in public schools. There is a huge element of truth to this. Also, it's far too expensive to live within the district and this has changed the demographics considerably within the past years pushing many kids into the Reynolds and Erwin district. In other words, Asheville still has some players enough to win right now but word on the street is that in four or less years they will become the new Enka.
