Is there still an Atlantic Conference?

[Tigertown_a_Rick]

I was wondering if the Atlantic Conference still exist, considering Mattamuskeet and Cape Hatteras are not fielding teams this year, while Creswell merged with Plymouth to form the new Washington County High School.....That leaves ONLY Columbia and Bear Grass Charter as the only 2 members left in the Atlantic Conference.....Has both Columbia and Bear Grass Charter moved to new conferences, or does the Atlantic Conference still exist for football?

Thanks in advance!

If you can believe Maxpreps, they are. A two team conference and they play one another 3 times.

Columbia and Bear Grass will play 3 times this season to decide the title. Hopefully these two teams will be moved in mid-realignment.

Thanks for the info!

The number of 1A schools continue to dwindle...

Columbia should move to the Albemarle conference and Bear Grass could move to either the Coastal Plains or Tar-Roanoke for football only.
