Yeah, but this isn’t the 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s anymore. We actually have this thing called talent now.
Umm, Erwin is 2-4 in the last 6 games they played Pisgah. #hushnow
Which means we won the 4 before that, so what? If that's all got, you do need to #hush.

Erwin was for the largest portion of its history, bad at football. That has since changed. We can’t touch Tuscola’s or Pisgah’s history in football. Will that help those teams this year? No, and Erwin’s poor history will not hurt them this year.

What is up with the Erwin hate over here. We have held our own vs Pisgah recently and would have more had they opted to continue playing us. As for Tuscola we hammered them last season and beat them numerous times before that. I could care less about what they did to Erwin in the 80's and 90's. This is today. I respect both programs but why the talk? I wish we did play Pisgah this season. As for Tuscola we will see soon how that goes.
THS looked good in the first half but seemed to be flat in the 2nd due to the lead or swain just played much better and knocked us around some. We didn't see much passing but largely didn't need to, running game looked good, especially #5 really liked the way he played, looks small but he is quick and tough as nails. The young QB really struggled with accuracy and some decision making but hopefully he can get that stuff worked out.
The defense was was good in the first half but simply got pushed around up front in the 2nd half but those swain lineman were some big boys for sure.
As a tuscola fan I can be honest and say I think we will have to play an outstanding game in order to beat pisgah next week. They do look good beating Murphy, but its hard to tell a whole lot from one game at the beginning of the season and I think we should get #9 back next week as well.

Could care less about Erwin but has Pisgah ever won a legit state title. They haven't done crap since the 70's so who are they to bash another school's past. As for Tuscola they are soft. One year of beatdowns in the WMAC and they want out.
You are right in saying THS has been soft. After Brooks retired we hung our hopes on Travis Noland ..big mistake he was from Pisgah of course.. he lied and said THS would not be a stepping stone. So off he went and it has been a series of bad coaching decisions, and Coaches like Keifer who was only interested in HIS record and Pursley who was padding his retirement fund. Neither one cared about the community. Postell is different. He has already been at THS for 10 or so yrs and has roots, he cares about the kids and the community. Things are looking up for us old Mountie fans. As for Reynolds, Asheville, Erwin, TC , and West. We have beaten them all in the past. It was the thrill of a lifetime to see Scott Connors face after we upset Reynolds in'89. We loved playing those teams and are glad to be back with them, Keifer screwd up that schedule when he was here #1 they all hated him and wouldnt schedule with him #2 he only wanted to make His record look good. That being said Keifer and Pursley weren't from here and didn't get Mtn football. Postell is a Mtn boy and seems to love all things THS. He is fostering Pride ,community, Spirit and he truly loves the kids. He also has a great coaching staff much like the staff of the Brooks era. So we have high hopes here in Waynesville.

There are plenty of teams around here that would score 3 tds on Pisgah. You’ve played Murphy and Enka. So try to keep that in perspective.

Don’t be so cocky man. Scored on a tipped pass and then later given a touchdown after a stop/fumble on 4th down.. by one Ref from Canton and a White hat from Rosman.. Nobody is from freaking Rosman, and it “just so happens” that the head coach and the White hat are from Rosman....and supposedly related on top of that?? Coincidence..?? Yeah ok. Absolutely ridiculous that the booking agency let such a crew call such an important game. But hey.. 6 in a row is 6 in a row.. we lost. Hope that Pisgah player’s arm is ok, never like to see a kid get hurt. Awesome crowd.. awesome fight.. we’ll line up again next year.
