Defense was very good, O needs some work, thought the O-line looked good. Could be a good season with continued hard work! Great Win tonight!

The ND offense is still a work in progress, but it did go up against a very stingy Mount Tabor defense as well. The ND defense is strong, and I mean strong. That's the way it should be when you have 10 of your 11 returning starters back on that side of the ball. I would have never believed that the Knights, or anybody really, would hold one of Forsyth County's top football programs scoreless. Great job Black Knights!!

My thoughts... Tabor was just like we thought, big and fast. Exactly what we'll see in the late playoffs, and we controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They busted a few big plays, and we missed some tackles. That happens against speed sometimes.

The offensive line was great. 62 is a monster, saw lots of pancakes and great open field blocking. We will give teams fits with the running game. Kudos to tabors defense, they were good. The passing game will come, coach knows what he's doing and teaches them well.

Shutout. The first of many if last year is any indication.

Tabor was good. I looked at them and I thought they and Dudley will decide the Piedmont Triad 3A conference. They're good at taking a short pass and turning 3 yards into 30... Our defense bent at times but never broke.

On to Mocksville and some war chicken stew... Mmm...

Oc!!!! Congrats to T-Ville on the Win last night!!!
Thanks guys. It will be a long way back, but I was very pleased with the effort last night. Lots of mistakes by both sets of ‘Dogs. But for the first time in several years, no unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on Thomasville. We’ve probably lost 10-12 games in the last four years on those mistakes alone.
I’d rather have thirty young men working hard than sixty prima donnas any day. The wins will eventually start to add up if these kids will follow the lead of this coaching staff.
It wasn’t pretty, but it was a good night to be a Bulldog and the enthusiasm was evident in the stands. Just gotta build on that.

THIS YEAR at best Tabor maybe our 5th best team in Forsyth. Besides Dudley Tabor will have all they want with Parkland who will contend for their conference as well.

Our fanbase at East Forsyth took a collective gasp when they announced your score at our game. No one saw that coming. Regardless of where Tabor is predicted to finish to hold them to a shutout is remarkable.

The buzz for our revenge game against Tabor this Friday took a hit thanks to your defense.

CPC would be something this year with your team and fanbase still in. Just not as much buzz on 4A without you all about the conference.

Wish you all well the rest of the way and into the playoffs with a very deep run seemingly.

Tabor dropped two balls in the end zone on Friday, but those were their only two legit shots at scoring. Not a lot of accuracy in their passing game.

I think East Forsyth beats Tabor by 4 touchdowns minimum.

Ledford beat Glenn, after Glenn lost a ton from last year but it's still a nice win for them... We'll find out what they really have in about 10 weeks

East Forsyth and West Forsyth are better but Mount Tabor is probably third best. With this win for ND they may be favorites in 2aa.

North is good, but they lack the speed that they are accustomed to for getting around the corner on offense. Quarterback issue will improve over time as they figure out who works best. I think they’ll find a way to overcome their shortcomings.

I know this... they are in shape. There are several key players going both ways. I didn’t see them huffing and puffing at the end of the game. Tabor had several kids bent over trying to get their breath toward the end of the game.

Seeing them play on Friday did not lead me to be inclined to award them the eastern regional championship trophy or even the Central Carolina Conference trophy. Time will sort that out.

The regionals will be tough, but unless ledford does something different I don't really see them as a threat in conference. That may change, but beating a down Glenn proves nothing so far.

And I'm thinking Tabor is going to score a lot of points this year. They have some offensive talent for sure.

Our top WR is out until like game 6 with injury. I agree our offense is a work in progress but it will look different with him on the field.

Don't they play Randleman this week?

Week after, actually. Randleman may be a good indicator but my family in the Randleman area tell me they're not expected to be as good this year. This is just hearsay though, who knows? As far as I'm concerned until ledford gives me a reason to believe in them they're just pretenders. Prove me wrong, prissy panthers...

I was very disappointed when I saw the knee brace. Didn't even know he had been hurt. The question when he returns is whether they can get him the ball. We shall see.

I think Brown is going to continue to up his reps at RB. He looked like the overall best back on Friday night.

Had to come from way back to beat Asheboro, I understand.

North is also missing there best and biggest Olineman for the first few weeks. But I do not think they have enough talent at QB or RB to be a serious threat for state title.

You may be right. But the qb and rb positions have plenty of time to learn with that defense. Doubtful they play anyone else with as good a defense as we have, at least until the third round or so.

Let's also not forget coach does a great job with qbs. Every qb at the school since he became offensive coordinator has had great success. We were supposed to drop off last year with not having Butts. That didn't happen...

Agreed and last years QB improvement from 1st game to say the 4th game was profound. Boyce was a hard nose runner but he did fumble be cause he ran with high pads so maybe these guys wont get his yards but wont fumble either.

So, after ONE game playing the QB and RB positions (their very first on varsity I might add) against a tough Forsyth County opponent, North Davidson is not a contender for the state title. Huh? Me personally, I'll let the season play out and see how it goes. Last year's QB, who also started for the first time on varsity, struggled mightly the first couple of games. He turned out pretty good if you ask me.

Who would that be?
Dalton. He's a sophomore that moved up for the playoffs as a freshman last year and made an immediate impact. His brother was a really good athlete there a couple of years back, but he looks like he may turn out to be even better.

With Zi Russell moving to Parkland, he is the best receiving threat at ND this year.

I am just stating my opinion of where North looks weak but I hope i am wrong. The QB last year improved greatly as the season went along but he was no Butts.

Butts was a special QB you get maybe once every 25 years. It blows my mind the high school QB's who are getting scholarships just because they are taller who honestly couldn't carry his jock. He could make all the throws accurately and possessed so much football intelligence he was indeed a coach on the field.

Scouts love their measurables... They think they can make a big quarterback more accurate or a speedy receiver without hands catch. My experience is the absolute opposite. You either have it or you don't...
