Big passes? Or Big pass? If you run between tackles 95% of the time against a D-line the caliber of AC you'll get beat.

Spread worked last year with inexperienced players. Scored points but just like last year D couldn't get stops. CamRon can throw the ball, open it up.

He can throw the ball and yes I would have liked more passes but our problem up front tonight created a ton of pressure when he tried to pass. Also give credit to AC because when we ran outside the tackles we hit a wall. When Pryor can’t get the edge we have an issue. We did not block well. If your son is a receiver on the team I assume your pissed at that too. Call the coach and share your wisdom. I sit in a recliner like half of the guys on here. Talk to the coach. We can spread it around all day but we have to get the defense off the field too.

Very disappointed last night in a lot of things. To me, it looked like the kids didn't want to be there from the opening kickoff. It was a very boring atmosphere and game. I'll be honest, AC didn't impress me much. We just looked that bad. We've got a long way to go in my opinion. Sweezy can throw the ball, I'd love to see that mixed in a little more. Defense didn't look terrible, but we missed a lot of tackles, I chalk that up to early season football. It'll be a very similar score in 2 weeks against Shelby. I'm hoping our morale won't take a huge hit. Heck, we only have 35 players, we can't afford any attrition.

I'm just sad this morning.

Theres a problem when you have more kids in the band than kids suited up for football on Friday nights.. you can point fingers in many directions I feel like. Gotta figure out how to keep kids from leaving, thats on Burns just as much as the County office too. The senseny days set us back a while, we know. Devine is a good coach and not the problem, got to figure out how to keep them instead of doing the easy thing and jumping ship.
The Bess kid at Shelby I understand when we got rid of mommy dearest... Mitchell followed hist best friend and Jefferies Im not sure why.. 3 good athletes that could have really helped to name a few.

Its just week 1 so its not time to blow things up, but AC took us to the wood shed and they were good but not CC good...that may spell trouble for us. OC needs to add some wrinkles to the offense.

AC was enormous and used that size to their advantage.Burns fought them tooth and nail for better part of two quarters. Eventually their size wore down the defensive front for Burns... Even the runningbacks were enormous and that #2 defensive end and runningback and even punted was a full sized man out there.

Austin Setzer had a great game on defense heard his name a bunch... Jack Willis too... Pryor is electrifying he had an amazing run on the lone td. There was zero room for the big fb to get any thing going

AC just wore Burns down and just kept coming at them in waves..Big strong runningbacks coupled with an enormous line was the difference... That QB 12 had a lot of speed also

It aint the end of the world in Lawndale.. Brand new offense, using an offensive set that suits your team is what i saw...itll work just give it time....Camron will get better the more comfortable he gets and with his arm and when they grasp this offense a little better the passing game will open up....

Got to see a bunch of good friends and folks Ive come to know over the years... Not one of you clowns bought me a drink though , but I did have the hotdog combo..YES THEY HAVE COMBOS....That made my night ha ha

Even had my pic taken with Mr Tweeter...He is as good a fan as you will meet and that community absolutely loves him, its obvious...great tribute for Miss Jewell last night

Good luck Bulldogs....

Shelby Lion, you were about 5 rows down from me, Rev, and 02. I was going to introduce myself, but you were walking all over that place talking to people.

Normally in years and years passed Burns would be taking AC to the woodshed in clear fashion. I’ve seen a few good AC teams and I’ve seen a lot of so so’s and below avg talent level groups. With Butch at the helm they may have a consistent thing going and it helps when they have a soild group of boys that I know East Burke only sees once or twice a decade any more. I’d expect them to win conference again if they don’t get too big headed and let anyone sneak up on em’.

I did notice that some of the AC names that were called a lot are wrestlers for them as well.... wrestling = better football players.

To add too all this I knew AC might be something special this year when I look at a Taylorsville paper and see a clip of a RB in practice built like a Jr in college. Some high school RBs aren’t the small scrappy guys we used to see lol.

Bess kid wouldn't help. The QB we have now is a more than capable, heart is bigger. The other two are ring chasers and couldn't take the discipline.

I think the jamboree set some expectations and based on last year with A.C. and how close it was the win was expected. Trust me there is 0 comparison to Devine and the previous coach....i watched every practice of both......we got the right man for the job no question. The world is not ending and this team will get better. Best of luck to A.C. the rest of the way. Go Dogs!

You guys think based on this performance the tater town boys got what it takes to stop Wataugas sophisticated air attack and trick plays? Yes I know it’ll be another post when that game comes up and will fill prob 2 pages, wasn’t getting off the Burns subject totally that’s why I said based off this performance. Keep in mind Burns was favored to win this by many posters and newspaper people. I personally wasn’t sure.

AC was athletic enough for sure. I think they will compete with Watauga and win

Heard on radio this morning that Watauga’s QB might have broken his wrist last night

If #2’s last name is Strickland he has looked like that since middle school... Not sure about this year but last year was listed at 6’2 225 and I thought that was kind of low

Based on last nights performance, after the Shelby game, this might be our collective Bulldog fanbase. :D
