I've not seen or heard anything about a 2018 tv schedule for My40 WNC football games on Thursday night. Has that died?

Last I heard they were going to have the game again this year but they were going to play on Friday night. I think that defeats the purpose. Your main audience will be at their schools game or watching another game somewhere live.

That barn will be burnt down by the end of the 1Q.

Did the NCHSAA drop their ban on live Friday night broadcasts? That was the reason they were playing it on Thursdays and the SC games were broadcast on Fridays. If they are, that means WMYA will have to choose the games between two states each Friday night. SC schools will get the preference based on market share I imagine.

I mostly agree, but after looking into the SC match ups some (I admit I don't follow SC as well), I think Hillcrest-Dorman could be a big time game. Dorman lost the 5A state title game by one point last year and returns a 1500 yard rusher and 1000 yard receiver (VA Tech commit Jacoby Pinckney), and they added a 6-6 receiver (Kamal Desor) who had over 800 receiving yards at Boiling Springs last year and has an offer from Wofford. Hillcrest was 11-3 and went to the third round in the 5A SC playoffs and returns a QB who threw for 3,200 yards last year. Plus with realignment they are now in the same region.

I just wish the WNC games were better. Mountain Heritage-Polk could be good. But Reynolds-NB, Christ School-Robbinsville, Andrews-Cherokee, and NH-Hendo are all likely to be pretty one-sided.

What about Rosman vs Brevard?.....Don't know if the stadiums will be packed for those other broadcast, but I will tell you now that it will likely be standing room only in Rosman when the Bluedevils make the short 9 mile trip down 64 to Tigertown for that 2nd week matchup....Tigers will have the experience this year, and will be talented, but will it be enough to beat their bigger brethen from the other end of the County who have won the last two meetings between the two teams?....Finally, there will be a game on TV that will ONLY showcase Transylvania County atheletes, but I will not get to see it because I will be part of the "Standing Room only" crowd at the game....

Reynolds can get a feel of how their TV game will be when Cherokee plays N Buncombe August 17.

cable or satellite?

I get it with rabbit ears. Closest translator had been analog until recently, but just became digital, which added MyTV (WLOS2) as channel 13.2 and Stadium (Sinclair sports channel) as 13.4.

Satellite you will have Chattanooga stations under FCC rules. Murphy Cable company carries WLOS but not sure if they now have the digital WLOS package with My40 and Stadium or still the old analog one with just WLOS.
