...why South Point folks are mad. Made my first trip to Stuart Cramer last night to watch the Crest JV play. I was thoroughly impressed with the facilities and field. Why would anybody want to play on that sandy crappy field at South Point while smelling sewage when you could play for and attend Stuart Cramer.
I saw the future last night and there were no Red Raiders in the picture. The end is near in sight.

You will be in the grave long before that ever comes to pass. You would have to assassinate every last one of us first because we are not going anywhere.

Me personally, I want SP to stay, it's hard to find consistent power house schools close by. With that being said, maybe South Point and SC will be like Crest and Shelby...but it is a bit odd that they are 3 miles apart...that's a cross country meet folks...and 8 min driving difference...seriously SP folks...it's just odd. Watch your backs red raiders.

Crest posters obsessing over SP after another *** whipping this year. Sure you want Stuart Cramer to take a little shine off of the boys who kick Chargers butts year after year. Problem is that it ain't gonna happen.

Again, I've ridden the Mtn. Bike Park in the middle of downtown Belmont. And when I topped the hill, breathless and tired, I looked down. And what did I see? The Stuart Cramer baseball, softball, and football fields. Where was I??? Belmont, or Cramerton?

Talked to a Crest guy today who was at the J.V. game last night. He was impressed by what will be South Point's new turf field.

Well played, ICF. Love the vibe and the frustration!

What frustration? I truly do understand why you South point fans are threatened by Cramer. You also see the future and realize your alma mater will soon go the same way old Belmont High did.

This didn't make any sense...Crest played SC for the FIRST TIME, we as fans saw the school and stadium for the first time...the proximity of South Point and SC is closer than Shelby and Crest...I don't want SP to close...but I would not be surprised if they did decide to close the doors on SP.

Your aggressive response shows your fear...I don't blame you, Stuart Cramer is enormous and well built.

Ain't gonna happen, but let's say it does. Chargers can't beat SP Raiders now. Can you imagine the devastation year after year facing a bigger and stronger South Point Red Raiders team operating out of the new and bigger school.

You get threads like this after they win a couple of games. It’s to be expected. They can’t help it.

Considering the only team crest has beaten worth mentioning is weddington with a one point victory was completely destroyed by charlotte Catholic...yeah I'm sooooo cocky!

I'm trying to honestly and seriously discuss the Stuart Cramer situation. I never realized how close it is to SP. Nor have I ever seen the school until now...Why build it so close?

You would need to refer your questions to the Gaston County Board Of Education.

I know it's hard for some of the Crest folks to grasp the concept of kids going to school in there own school district. South Point district = South Point. Cramer district = Cramer. On the line = kids choose..

Forgetting about football, the location of SC has baffled everyone. Many of the kids attending SC are closer to Mt. Holly than they are Belmont or Cramerton. They are going to have serious problem in the future. The SP peninsula and surrounding areas are growing at a rate that they would never be able to combine SP and Stuart Cramer unless they build a school closer to Mt. Holly which is where it should have been in the first place. They could go for a while by building up EG's enrollment, but that would be a short term fix. Secondly, they now plan on building a new middle school across the street from SPHS. The thoughts were that the middle school would ultimately move into the HS. Politicians making bad decisions. Seems to be the norm.
