It would only seem odd if you need the motivation to compete. Take the ranking you rightfully deserve and see how far it gets you in 2017.

Look at the 3A poll and you see the defending 4A champ Dudley number 1.I would have South Point first with the whole team back.We were told over and over that SP would have beat Shelby at the end of the year last year.

That all sounds good from a Lions perspective but it doesn't hold water for most people. Shelby beat SP soundly last year and that cannot be left out of the equation. If you indeed believe SP would have beaten Shelby at the end of the year (not could have) that tells me you have drank too much of the Seadog Kool-Aid. Congrats on the continued success. All respect for the Shelby program but SP will take their ranking right under the Lions and let the cards play out.

Nope! It just appears that way when you play in a weak division, playing subpar teams in the playoffs and championship. Only difference would have been that y'all may have actually scored in a second meeting. We ate running teams for breakfast, you couldn't pass, and we were too fast for y'all, period.

We passed more then we have in a long time last year. We will see how playing last will work out this year.

We're ranked about right, remember we're playing a tough schedule. Playing 3 teams that played in a state championship game and 3 teams in this top 10 in our conference. This team could lose 3 games and still make a title run!

Deana are u hiding in the woods watching practice at West Craven? We lost some good talent last year. I certainly hope we prove u right!!

Wiz you may be right....Coach Lewis went out and recruited half the bball team to play WR....no wonder he is trying something new this year
