They aren't looking. They know who the new head coach is going to be.. It has been planned for quite a while. Raider football has never been in better shape.

Congrats and thank you for all you have meant to S.P. He may be retiring but he won't be far away. Football and S.P. High School pumps through his veins.

Where did we say he should quit. Some of the play calling wasn't right and other stuff not his coaching.

My only worry is, who's gonna coach the OL? Mickey may be the best OL coach I've ever seen. He, and he alone, coached that group up. I sure hope a good one is put in that position with Mick consulting over his shoulder.

I think mountie is a KM guy. In Cleveland County, KM is like the black dude in the team shower with a short member.

After 40 years, Mick earned the right to go out as a winner. SP prepared for this and the head coach decision was in place. The defensive improvement over the past couple of years will continue. Agree with SeaDog that Mick's ability to build an offensive line out of a group of 190 lb kids has always been amazing and will be hardest to replicate.

Maybe Mickey will be back on the sidelines this fall as an assistant. A lot less time consuming and pressure than the HC position. Ask Phil Tate. Once a Red Raider, always a Red Raider! At this point, Mickey has earned the right to do whatever he wants to do.

We all knew the fix was in, but it worked. Scott Lee is an outstanding coach and most all would support him. The problem lies in his outside business and his absence from the school. Nobody holds that against him, but traditionally an HC is a teacher on property.

Adam Hodge is the man!
