After seeing the total domination by the western teams this year in state playoffs you guys had better step your game up. Instead of you guys talking trash to some of these western programs you all might want to get on the same programs as them.
The teams out there from what I hear anyways their kids are involved in some sort of football activity all year round. You look and see their teams and kids are involved in 7 on 7 passing teams during the winter months. They are hitting the combine and showcase circuits. Football is important to them. That is why they got kids going to play at major college programs all the time. There is a reason why. You can't tell me that all the parents who produce genetically gifted football players all live in western Nc. I mean I have met some of the kids from this area and they have said how their coaches tell them to stay away from combines and 7 on 7 passing leagues. Everywhere that I have ever been that has great football programs this is never the case. You think coaches in places like Florida,Alabama, Louisiana,California, Texas, Ohio tell their kids to stay away from stuff like that? NC has some great talent and it's no wonder your top kids don't want to stay and go to your D1 schools here. I been around football a long time and have seen and coached a many D1 athletes. Trust me they are here in the East but nobody knows who they are. Yeah I know this is going to rub some the wrong way but some of these coaches has got to step up and help get their kids noticed more. Say what you want about Jim Bob Bryant but he gets his kids to school. Some of these kids playing on these other teams are just as talented as some of those kids yet how are they not even going to D2,D3,Juco,NAIA I see the talent. I mean just in the coastal conference alone I have seen at least 10-12 legit D1 prospects. Yet you never hear of them. I am sorry some of these coaches have got to step up. Don't just use them for wins and loses so that you keep your jobs. If the young man is good enough help him get to school and use football as a tool to get himself a free education. Come on East y'all need to step up... or just be prepared to take your yearly butt whooping from the west every year.
