LOL. You shot off your mouths about players and coaches while others went AWL. Now you don't want anyone to bring it up. Get over it just like everyone else has to get over the fact that our team will be sitting at the house this Saturday.
Didn't mean to stir up the loser bracket but I guess some haven't made a full recovery yet.
I am just going to continue to enjoy Raider success anytime I chose and you guys can have your little pitty party if that gives you consolation. Whine away gentlemen.

Whose the big time players for both teams? Never hear much about players that gotten offered or committed to places until long gone. Always like to keep eyes on them during the game.

You got that right DeBoer. Been there since about 1970, a year after SP was founded. They have played nearly 600 games in the school history and I have personally seen at least 3/4 of them. And I consider myself a lightweight. I see many many people there every week that have been there and seen many more games than me. Diehard fans and a lot of them. That is the SP legacy. And our coaches and players all understand that legacy and keep building on it. That is the SP way. Outsiders may call it dumb, slow or hickish, but it don't really matter what they say. That is the Belmont way. And we do not have a propitiatory license for this either. There are many other fans/schools in our area that also get it. That is what makes this sport and this area so special.

glad you COULD care less. No crying on my end for sure. Im happy w how our season turned out after 2 dismal seasons. dont take the heat off the bandwagon fans n try to put it on me lol. you are stuck w it now, embrace it. Crest and SP do more talk on here than anybody but my how their fans mirror each other! Im thinkin we will see some new Red Tater fans shortly.

once again good, luck to the ones that have stuck it out. :)

Like I said trust me I'm not a fair weather fan.I'm one of SP biggest fans until I die. Do you remember when we played Burns in the driving rain it was crazy?

Where are all the Cleveland County fans wanting to talk about Stuart Cramer now? Hopefully that misconception has been realized. No talent and no worries from the Belmont side of Belmont.

Beamer thanks for your comments. Whatever disappointment I felt from our bad start I never lost faith that the Raider coaching staff would do their part and the kids would buy into it. But I did not think we would make it this far. We have a good thing going in Belmont. We not only have a very good group of coaches we have some gifted young coaches being groomed to be the future Raider leaders. This 2016 defense is the result of some of that up and coming talent. Future is going to be very bright in Raiderland for years to come.
Your Panthers may not have had the night they had hoped for Friday but they clearly were the best we have seen since Shelby. Your kids were a class act from start to finish. The future looks very bright for your guys again in 2017. Good Luck.

I would say give SC some time, but I'm not sure about the talent. You may be right, I don't know exactly where their kids are coming from. Which middle schools or Pop Warner organizations? My guess is they get some Cramerton, MHMS, and BMS kids, right? And just for clarification, what is the non-Belmont side of Belmont? The Mt. Holly side or the Cramerton side?

Any college players on rocky mount or sp?
Have been holding back until the bitter end. Don't know...or care about RM, but here is my assessment about college prospects of SP defense, with some insider info. At least THREE DIV 1 AA college prospects (Muse should be FBS). Up the middle, Phillip Davis...anyone who has seen him play will KNOW he is the real deal. Only a Junior, not sure of his grades, but he HAS to have interest at LEAST at the FCS level. MLB...Nick Muse has multiple FCS offers, W&M, Elon, Gardner Webb, Furman and others. Will be SHOCKED if an FBS school doesn't offer. Max Mead...the biggest sleeper on the SP defense. Was the fastest DB of over 40 DB's at Dukes Camp. Won the "Fastest Man in Camp" competition at that position, and came out third of over 400 campers in their final in the competition. Was second fastest camper at Davidson. Heavy interest from Davidson and Western Carolina. Will play 1AA football after Saturday. Matthew Robinson, only a Junior, but any real football student can look at his frame, and the way he runs and can tell he most likely projects to at least Div 1AA if he has the grades. Nate Silver as a DB most certainly has a future in college football at some level if his grades are okay. Mario Brandon is a little undersized, but is certainly college material at some level. The same can be said of Nick Farmer. He may not have all of the measurables, but he is an amazing football player. Nathan Hamilton is a little undersized for a college fooball player, but he is a great high school football player. Totally expect him to play at the next level. These are the defenders that I am most familiar with. Don't want to sell short anyone else on the SP defense. THEY ARE ALL GREAT!!!! Red Raider fans...please fill in any holes I have left! Go Big Red!

Been following HS football for many years and realize what a special gift we have that we can find some peace (or distraction) in watching these kids compete each year to get to these special games. I have been bantering for years with the likes of Crest, Concord, West Rowan, Shelby, etc., etc. At the end of the day, we love our own programs but we respect and appreciate the fact that all of you guys are only here because you love yours. Those of us who have enjoyed success and know what it means to be at Kenan, Groves, etc. to experience a championship game truly realize what this sport brings to us as individuals and to our schools and communities. I write this as I am at the half of the Army/Navy game which I have not watched in years. This games blows away Alabama/LSU, Ohio State/Michigan, or Florida State/Clemson. The passion on that field and in those stands is beyond comprehension. We are blessed and need to stop and realize exactly how blessed we are. Go Raiders and exact revenge on the Gryphons!
Well spoken.

That's kind of an in joke in Belmont. Yeah- the Cramerton side of Belmont is what I was saying.
Most of their kids currently come from MHMS. Literally 2-3 athletes come from Belmont Middle as it currently stands, and a few more than that come from CMS unless they've already transferred in from Cramer Mountain to Belmont schools prior to HS. So, when we say SC is a Mt. Holly school located in Belmont, it really is. Still the dumbest location for a HS in state history. Word is it came down to choosing the better of the best two options: On top of an old Indian burial ground, or on Lakewood Goat Ranch Course.

RM wins this close one, 24-21

Alright! Another SP doomsday predictor. This is your last week boys so all you better get out of the closet. SP still has not played anyone this year and RM is finally the real team that will give us a game. Have we heard this before? If this song was on a 45 rpm, the needle would have already worn through the vinyl!

At this point I am convinced of a couple of things:
1) There is no way Rocky Mount can win this game because they have "Mount" (as in mountain) in their name. Due to what we've seen from the mountain teams, I think this automatically disqualifies them from a win in the state champ. game.
2) I have to assume the status of football in the East is similar to what we've seen in the West in this 3a bracket, and if so, there again SP wins.
3) Lastly, judging by Rocky Mount games in regular season and in the playoff it appears they should've been beaten a few times. I have no idea how you got to this game - the classic "the other team was better but we won" scenario with Havelock. The sun only shines on a dog's asz twice a day. Unless they back this game up to be played at 3pm, Rocky Mount won't ever get that second ray needed to get the job done.
4) They lost a bunch of players, and the returning ones didn't look great. The LB going to SC? Please go there.

So, on a Wednesday before the game I will make a monumental decision. I will accurately predict the winner of this game with a degree of ferocity and acumen rarely seen outside of the Gladiatorial contests in Ancient Rome. I am a savage, and I will pick this outcome using that same machismo:
SP wins 24 to 10

The west has had no one, Throughout the playoffs rocky mount has played 4 great football teams, SN who beat them earlier, Havelock was a great team who didnt push to the end like RM did, SG was just wore out early by RM run game, And southern lee was a team with many athletes rocky mount beat them with more heart.....

Rocky Mount wins this no doubt, Has South Point played anyone like RM has all year???

Oh no, Ralphy has predicted a win! Ralphy has predicted a win?

According to Ralphy, we shouldn't have made it to the championship last year, we should be mired in a losing season this year and be basically 0 for the next 5 years after that.

This worries me, Red Raiders!!

Sherrod Greene Linebacker for Rocky Mount chose South Carolina over Alabama, VA Tech and NC State. He missed the first half of this season with an injury.

I don't care who offered him. Watching him last year I wasn't impressed. Maybe I will be this year. I was supposed to be impressed with others this playoff season and have been impressed by no player or team thus far. At least he is the first D1 athlete we've seen since Sept. I will give him that.

Onto the Raider faithful. Sorry for party rockin. I'm a realist you bunch of jive turkeys.
We shouldn't have made it to the championship last year. We got some favorable scheduling, but that team was solid. This year I'm not sure what to call the playoff schedule. I will call it fortunate. Either way, I don't believe Rocky Mount has a better team than last year based off who they lost from that team, who they've played and what they do. Everything looks to be playing into SPs strengths. I call em like I see em. Chickenshyt schedule the last 2 months to get here for SP? Sure. Will they win this game to be state champs? I say yes.

The only thing that will come of this is the mountain people and big south teams may get together and form a class action suit that SP beat the handicapped in public and got away with it. I'm convinced some of those teams trotted out players with club foots or at the very least had severe stuttering problems that prevented any defensive calls or offensive audibles to be done at the Line of Scrimmage.

Yes, SP has played teams this year that would beat the dog baloney out of Rocky Mount. Apparently the last three mountain teams were possible state champs until we played them.

100% correct. I would rather watch a good high school game over college or the pros any day!

Come on down. With Wake Forest being as close as it is an already passionate Raider fan base will flock to Groves Stadium. With that said we hope to have support from many respected competitors representing the western region.
Be careful you may get caught up in the cult of Raidermania and never repent back to you native Rowan County.
Never! Falcon football all the way! Good luck Saturday

Does SP have any D1 commits?

They have 1 for sure. Depends on how weak the talent pool is, maybe P. Davis is a small D1 type (App State) or maybe his 6' frame can slide into somewhere bigger. Davis at 2" taller....would be legit recruit for any D1 school around here. M. Robinson could be a smaller D1 type recruit (App St...maybe ECU). We have what we've had for 40 years on most teams- a few guys that can (if they choose) to go play at LR, GW type places unless they just want to go be a student and have more time to chase girls.
