Being a Raider fan has never felt better. That defense is nasty.
I have a lot of respect for Hibriten as well. They were the best tackling team we saw all year. They were a well coached team with a lot of class. Congrats to the Panthers for an awesome season.
The Panthers had the speed alright but it was mostly laterally. Their defense was stout and quick, and basically shut down the Raiders running game most of the night. But the passing game was there all night and Hibriten had no answer for that. As far as the Raider defense, what can you say? Just awesome. No points allowed to the number 1 team in the state. Not even a first down the whole first half. The game was essentially over after the opening drive by the Raiders. So proud of this team and the coaching staff. What a turnaround from the first part of this season. See you in Winston Salem!
And not even close to the '14 Crest defense
Oh, the memories! It's like, "remember when Crest was good!" Bwahahaha.
I have seen SP play at least 1 time each year since the school opened, it's got to be in the top 3. I also think it's one of the best coaching jobs in the history of the school. A lot has been said about the slow start, but this could easily be a 1 loss team.
This should be a (1) loss team. The losses to Ltown, Clover and Huss were given away.

Yes, I dorked it up and hit the post button twice. But on reflection, it was very appropriate. We're twice as good as we've ever been on defense.
D sure looks fantastic in the playoffs!!! Good Luck, will be pulling for the Red Raiders. Was shocked they held hibriten scoreless as well.
