KM2ASU, you are right now that I look at it, they need to update the 3A west since Crest has won the draw for 1st in their classification of the split conference. They should get the no.3 seed vice the no. 5 seed and burns should get the no 5 seed vice the no 3 seed.

Why is Asheville a 6 and Erwin a 5? When they tied for second in conference and Asheville won the head to head

I haven't had time to look at this, but this Bracket has Eastern Alamance 3A and Simmons has them 3AA....not sure which Projection is correct, but it makes a difference.

Because they are tied with Marvin Ridge also and in a 3 way tie ALL teams have to play each other for head to head to come into play. Max Preps rankings decides three way ties when all 3 don't play each other. I disagree with it also, but that's how it is written in the playoff seeding rules.

  • The smallest school in the 3AA subdivision is Concord (ADM: 1,267). The largest school in the 3A subdivision is Eastern Alamance
  • If Hunt loses to Rocky Mount on Friday night, McMichael would take the final spot in the field, winning the tiebreaker among all schools with a 3-7 qualified record thanks to a 3-5 mark in conference play. Hunt is currently in with a 3-6 qualified record.
OK....If Hunt loses to Rocky Mount and McMichael takes the spot in 3A, I believe that will bump E Alamance back over to the Mideast 3AA, like Simmons has it.

I do not think these Brackets are correct. I believe the Simmons Brackets will be more accurate, IF Rocky Mount wins.

You mountain people are more salty about the erwin-asheville seeding than Burns was about transfers to Crest 3 years ago. That's quite the accomplishment.

Personally I don't care who got the higher seed, I was trying to understand why it was, now I do understand it, but still don't agree with the process. It doesn't affect my team! :)

Thank you. I thought it was the 18th but max preps has Havelock playing a non conf game with South Johnston on the 18. wonder if that is a playoff game? They keep this old guy confused and it seems to get easier to do every day.

No games scheduled for playoffs yet, pairings will come out on Saturday.

Ok which is it? Simmons says West Rowan is a #2 playing Freedom in the 1st round. This says we are a #3 playing Patton. Any ideas?

Need a little help......If Aycock is out in 3A, the next team in is Cox Mill 3AA.....the smallest 3AA is Concord?
If Concord moves to 3A....Cox Mill comes in at 8MW...C Cab moves to 7MW, Cuthbertson 6MW, and Ledford to 5MW......does that make sense, and does anyone else see this?

Updated through Friday's games. E. Alamance is 3A now because of the Aycock forfeits. Corinth Holders now gets in after a forfeit victory and that bumps EA down to 3A.
