I am a Tuscola fan, but I would have to agree with you. Neither us nor Pisgah belongs in the top dozen or so. Reynolds is the best 3A team in the mountains. If we can win two playoff games, we will have had an excellent year. This poll is centered around won-loss record and not quality of team and strength of schedule.

Crest will make a lot of noise. Better than AC Reynolds, IMO. May make it all the way to the 'ship for the fourth time in a row. Burns is a quality team too.

I think Crest will make a run again. I think we, Burns, are good but not good enough to make much of a run. I'd be very happy with making it to the 3rd round. Baby steps.

Jer, I think both Burns and Crest coaching staffs will be happy if we make it to the 3rd round.

Crest would beat at least half of those 13 teams ....not bragging just calling a spade a spade. Crest has a championship defense...just needs to improve on the OL. Could happen.....some folks could be in for a surprise. Honestly....who wants to play Crest in the playoffs

Crest always turns it on when they need to. Scary team if they get there offense going.

I hope Tuscola and Pisgah make a run in the playoffs I just think Reynolds is the best team in the mountains after seeing all three teams. I give Pisgah credit for beating us this year but we are a totally different team now than we were in the non-conference.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but Brevard is 9-2. Pisgah was 10-1, so it might be worth at least being concerned about them (beating Tuscola this year is a pretty big deal too because they are also really good).

I'd say that is ACR is the best 3A team in mountains, but any of these teams could make a little noise. I can't see a 3A state title for WNC (or even an appearance), but maybe several fun games.

I say you should fire your coach so you can get back to... well, back to what? Freedom has only had one season of note in over 4 decades of play, so I guess you can just hire a new coach to complain about. I mean seriously, you've advanced past the 2nd round a grand total of twice in 43 years, so somebody new to blame would be refreshing.

Heck, I'm surprised BA's still there. Seems like every other coach that's won 10 games at Freedom resigned to coach somewhere else before their stock plunged.

Personally, I doubt you'll ever "win the big one" with Allen as the coach because you never got close to winning the big one in the 40 years before he arrived. Just my opinion since you have been asking for it.

I'm talking about B Allen needed to send his resume out. I'm sure Freedom can find a new coach if they want, they've had 3 in less than 5 years.

I just wonder why your winning coaches left for other schools. McMahon, Hardin, Helms....

I've never even seen him coach, so I'm probably not a good reference. I'm not sure why you guys didn't hire whatever all-star coach you have in mind the last time a coach bolted on you. I remember Hardin was the hotness when he was hired and I wondered at the time "why is he going to FREEDOM?". I guess he asked himself the same thing after a season there with you guys....

all respect to crest but i think it could be a short run for them this year. if they do get s. point early i think theyre out. just my opinion

I respectfully disagree with you rf73..... I think we beat SP in a rematch and said it back in August. Our defense is playing lights out and the offense is a click away from turning the corner. However, IDK about Hibriten but think we can roll the rest of the bracket.....
