Lol, you got me on the cabbage head thing. I've heard it before, just not sure of the origins. I'd love to go but I'm in Tennessee now so it'll probably be Gatlinburg-Pittman @ Happy Valley for me. Happy Valley has some men on that roster, they've just destroyed people all season long.So Doss, how many cabbage heads you think will come down for the game?
Also, I have no idea how yall got the "cabbage head" nickname....but that's what we used to call yall back in the day.
Im ready pats but remember im from lawndale so i may fight dirty .I love it.

Opponents are combined 19-30 ....hmmmmm.....Good article. Will make for an interesting game
Burns opponents are a combined 22-29Opponents are combined 19-30 ....hmmmmm.....
That looks like a fairly reasonable score. I can see it being 38 28 or 41 28. HHS is a good ball team so we'll see.Hibriten 41
Watauga 28
Add West Rowan in there as well. Those 4 teams are all very good. I believe they are best 4 in the West. (if we are excluding schools we believe will be 3AA) We all have a lot of football left to play, but this talk that the West is very week this year is not true at all.Burns, Tuscola, and Hibriten all small 3A. If all plays out the 3A west bracket should be loaded.
Do you think that spells trouble for them against teams like West Rowan who do not have any kids that play both ways and have plenty of skill players on both sides of the ball? I guess by the end of the season the kids are in good shape and the cooler weather helps. It's around 30 with a couple of 8 qt kids. Several kids go both ways.
I'd say Kings Mtn and South Point could upset some people in the playoffs.Could Kings Mountain be the sleeper?
Depth is the 1 weakness they have. But these blowouts have allowed for a lot of reps for other guys. 0 2nd half points allowed this year speaks to the talent across the board.Do you think that spells trouble for them against teams like West Rowan who do not have any kids that play both ways and have plenty of skill players on both sides of the ball? Hibriten ran the Fullback pretty well against KM last year. We couldn't break anything outside and had no passing game. This year we have thrown the ball with some success. For sure. Kings Mountain does very well with run dominant teams
which could be a problem for Hibriten. But hey, look at last year...
you guys played right with the them, and Hibriten much improved
this season.
True, when the second string comes in and you still hold the other team that does say a great deal. However if the starters have not played 4 full quarters of physical football and are playing both ways as well, that does not sound promising. I have seen some kids that seemed to play better the more they were on the field. It could go either way. I hope to get to see some of these other great teams play when we get to the playoffs.Depth is the 1 weakness they have.
