Don't see Crest at 6. They have struggled with some very mediocre teams. At the beginning of season I thought they would right the ship but haven't thus far. They need a good win before I'd have them ranked.

I dont either, but as long as they are finding ways to win they are stuck there. Ive said it before but it looks like Pisgah and Tuscola are on a nice collision course for a battle of unbeaten rivals. DK if either are for real but should still make for a great atmosphere and ball game! Burns will have a tall task w shelby in 2 weeks. I expect shelby to be the heavy favorite and rightfully so.

Deana, you missed one $. Well that's what they are hoping for this year. Gotta get pass Franklin and West Henderson first tho. Both of which give Pisgah fits.

Tuscola has Brevard on the t.v. game Thursday night and then North, who tripped us up last year. Franklin has been pretty dominant the past few years and have another fine RB. I'll hold off on the 2 undefeated's hoopla until we get there.

Given the schedule this week, a lot of folks in Haywood Co. are going to get to go see the other school in action so gates this week at both should be a little better than average, although some folks may decide to stay home and watch on the tube on Thursday night.

IF, IF we get there, mind you, it will be HUGE. Huge game, huge pot, huge crowd. I can use it for my Hawaii trip next fall.

Channel 13, WWNC and the AC-T may actually be forced to cover it.

Back in 2006 when Shelby played at Pisgah in the semis if I recall it seems like the winner of the half and half got over 4,000 dollars...

Seems like that is the norm for Pisgah and Tuscola....If not more every time they hook up.... Great atmosphere up there during game night

I am not disrespecting Pisgah or Tuscola, however I think Sun Valley should be above both. Sun Valley has beaten a couple real quality opponents.

Shelby lion, if both teams are undefeated it'll look like that 06 playoff game crowd wise. If not more.

Truth is not a lot of things to do on Friday night in Haywood county. Most of Pisgah home games have a half and half over 600 dollars. The Franklin game will probably be bigger.I know the scrimmage game[ yeah we sell them at the scrimmages ] was over 300.
Just glad we play Tuscola in Canton where I have season tickets, want have to show up at 4 pm to get a seat .

I was at that game one of the best high school games I have ever seen first play from scrimmage 80 yard pisgah td and it was on after that great game!

With that said seams like I recall the winners half of the half and half was closer to like 6k but I'm not sure that has been 10 year ago!

I can't even imagine the craziness that would ensue if Pisgah and Tuscola both lock horns in three weeks at 7-0. That followed by a Trump win in November and hell I may just finally retire.
I know the West is weaker than in some years (7 of 10 East teams ranked in top 10) but how do you see either of these in the playoffs against teams with more speed and pure athletes ?

Lawn12Dog, it pains me to say this. But #1 from Tuscola is as fast as they come, no joke. Last year he burnt Pisgah on one for about 80 yards. Pisgah's fastest player was a good 15 yards behind him and he was pulling away.

I guess according to this Concord is just so much better than West Rowan. At least the Falcons got an honorable mention. In 3 weeks the battle for the SPC will be played in Concord when West Rowan rolls into town. We shall see!

Like I said, Concord is way over rated. Lost to a 1 -4 team Central Cabarrus last night. I bet they will not be in the Baker's Dozen next week. Lets see if West Rowan will get a little respect in the baker's kitchen this week.
