Last year he claimed ole Chippy had purchased a house, yet I can find no record of such a purchase......
Unfortunately the only thing that that continues to thrive around West Caldwell is kudzu. Not being negative really because they have lots of turnover and believe me there is a lot of kudzu on those hills.
West still isn't getting the fan/crowd support they need.....they brought a decent crowd to HHS last friday but I also think a lot of that had to do with the record of both teams and the "thought" that they might win..... Coaches see that, and Chip is a good coach and he's young and up and coming....he'll want to go to a bigger program with more tradition and can pay more $$$- he's got a good situation right now b/c he's living in a house rent free.
the kudzu runs from west end all the way to Piney and into Burke County....
then the mary jane begins.
South may be doing what you guys are talking about in a few years...but it will need to be a new coach to do it. And I'm almost sure that it will be. This guy is not meshing with more than just the players at South. Not letting kids play both ways was the start of it and it seems to be getting worse. These freshman have talent. In all honesty, they should not be playing varsity. But I'm telling ya, I wouldn't expect this guy here very long. Some may think that is crazy but unless you are in the know then there is a lot of stuff going on that people don't know. He is not rubbing people the right way. And doing some classless stuff to opposing players along the way from what I'm hearing. Heard from a staff member at South that he said some nasty things to AC players during the game...come on man.
How are you even talking about West I think they beat your red devil's last year and will do the same again this year.
AD is Parham, not sure if its Jeff or Scott, but obviously they are going to favor Baseball and Women's Bball first.

why wouldn't he buy a home in gamewell to show he's rooted in the community? Biggerstaff still lives in gamewell i believe.

Check the record against Newton-Conover. One or two years is all you got. English has done a great job.

West tenure has been hard on coaches around here... former coach Craig Styron who is now principal at Collettsville Elem frequently dresses like a woman for events
at the school.... which I think is weird. Many have left West with their head between their tale. Things are for sure looking up! Would love to see them win the
conference.
