Hibriten vs West Caldwell

This one decides county champion. Both have lots of potential this year. Very happy for the success of West Caldwell... its been years. Titus Tucker is a great athlete and should break several records at West. With that said, I pick Hibriten by at least 2 scores. Too many weapons and pretty mean defense.
Fat Friday don't carry the same flavor and hype that it used to. I was at Fat Friday last year and I got through ticket booth fast(I was late anyway) and had plenty of places to sit. I mean go figure, we knew the outcome and 2 other schools in county having games it kinda takes more fans away. This one is Freedom by 2 scores at least and not a blowout like last year. EB is ok but they're not terrible. Not working with much like they were last year. Huge blow to program losing a good wideout and a few linemen
Not everyone can have a program like Mallard Creek lol. Lost an entire or almost an entire starting lineup on both sides of the ball 3 years ago and STILL go super deep in playoffs the next year. Freedom and EB both suffer senior loss pains but when EB goes through it it's pretty well known lol.
I'm sure they'll never have a class of boys come through like they did in 09'
After 10' Hibriten suffered big. This year might be the best class of boys come through since that time.

The 09 Cavs were special. Don't think we'll see that again anytime soon.
The talent at Freedom the last 6 yrs is probably the best ever, with 2012
team the best... record wise. Hard to believe the best year in Freedom history
and BJ Emmons never carried the ball one time.

Won't disagree there. What gets me shaking my head is when or if someone says they would be good if it was a whole EB(as in Draughn was not existing yet)....no lol. Just a stinky 4a school. Kinda like SC is now
Too bad Hibriten is not playing under 2A like their student body numbers currently have. But then again if they were they would have to deal with or may have to deal with Shelby, East Lincoln....Monroe. Yeah, not a chance on Monroe buddy. At least not this year.
Yep. Not many Burkers on here. Every once and a while we'll pick up a coach follower like that DLS clown but they fade away.

Ouch. Hibriten will drill the conference. Funny, 2A ADM and the pride of a 3A/4A conference. Hibriten is going to be tough in the post season.
Guys, new coach had to start from scratch. These guys don't know how to throw or catch...they have never done it! Its like coaching mighty mites or midgets again. The kids at South haven't been taught any passing skills... zero. Coach M has his work cut out for him.
South game could have been a lot worse. Was 21-0 with 7 minutes to go in the 1st...you read that right. They won't win a game. If Carter was still there I would think they would still be rebuilding but probably a 4-7 rebuild. Maybe 5 wins. They wouldn't be a good team but could win some games. This guy isn't adjusting at all. He has a Freshman throwing the ball 40 times a game behind an awful line. I'd be shocked if he is there next year if you want my honest opinion.
South coach has not adjusted this team is a young team lost a lot of players from last year the coach needs to recognize talent be more ball control again young kids has never practice throwing and catching not blaming the kids QB is s freshmen good size buy coach needs to bring him along slowly make adjustments coach
Bottom line the baseball coach/ad and ex principal brought in a coach they knew would not be successful - they didn't like FB competing w Baseball.
Alexander Central loved and backed harper they will do the same for Carter.
Alexander is using a mix of Carter and the Bazzle offense. They should get some wins in conference other tha West and North Iredell. Carter brought life to South Caldwell football even though I didn't like the style. Carter's departure has sent them back to the good ole days- the dungeon.
Having a bunch of sophomores and a few freshmen with a freshman QB surely must have a positive spark about it. Seen many young teams stink but stick together and pull something good within a year or 2. Hickory 96' was a very good example. I said it before I'm sure. Won't be like that Hickory team and may be far from it. Just hope this same group of boys for the simple sake of these boys in general and for the school that they excel in the future.
