Great game !! The Hounds have alot of talent and Hickory is way better than last year. Jai Hoag for the hounds had 5 rushing tds and threw for alot of yards. Congrats to the Red Tornadoes and their coaching staff who had a great game plan that gave us fits. Hickory is gonna surprise some teams in their conference.

Hickory should win more games this year. They're playing in a conference that is way down this year. Not much of a line on both sides and the QB is small forcing him to roll out. Hickory was the last team out for 2A alignment in 2017. Hard to compete in 3A non conference and conference games with their student numbers.
What did they miss the 2A number qualification by?
North Lincoln literally missed staying 2A by like 5 or 6 students, rumor was due to EL students coming over for band. They had a hard enough time getting any wins in 2A and sat in a fairly weak conference. Just kinda wondering if Hickory missed 2A by a handful as well. Hard to believe they were once 4A for YEARS. There wasn't another school built nearby either so it's kinda crazy
NL along with West Irdell carries 2A numbers now along with prob some other schools n the area so the realignment can't seem to come quick enough lol.
Jai Hodge is Statesville starting qb, he scored 5 tds last week. He dominated Hickory. He's by faaaaaaaarrrrrrrr Statesville best qb and one of their best athletes.

Thanks champ. That makes way more sense . The article was very misleading. Any qb who can sit a starter down in 2 weeks has to be the next montana.
