don't know much about NC, can someone provide information about them? Returning players? Etc... What's everybody's input on the game?
We run a spread offense, and a 3-4 defense with alot of young starters on both sides of the ball. Ive never been to AHS so looking forward to a good game in an unfamiliar territory.
Enjoy the nicest stadium in the west. Also, hit up Little Pigs BBQ across the street before the game if you get time.
Nicest stadium in the west? Asheville has the best football stadium in North Carolina. Period.Enjoy the nicest stadium in the west. Also, hit up Little Pigs BBQ across the street before the game if you get time.
I've been to Cherokee's stadium multiple times, it is really nice but it is very small. Obviously it should be since it's a small school but I'd say a high majority of outsiders from other parts of the state would give ours the edge.Cherokee might have a say on that. Asheville is very nice but it seems very dark and the track takes away from the atmosphere some. I feel like I am a mile away from the field.

Erwin's home side is a very nice place to see a game. The visitor side is terrible your kinda sitting in a hole you can't see anything on the other side of the field.
Roberson and Erwin sit down a little more than the others. You can see the other side of the field at the other schools fine.
Beam scheduled Asheville but he added Hickory who is 1-21 the last two years, Highland Tech 1-43 I think over four years, and Central Virginia Home School Academy. Yeah, give the man props for that badass schedule. That schedule will get him over the .500 mark for sure.Good ole' Asheville. A classic NW4A school back in the day. Talk about a spread out conf-Gastonia schools, Burke co schools South Caldwell, Hickory, and Asheville. Folks did some driving back then.
Asheville has ALWAYS had athletes. Folks used to get Beam down the road bout cupcake schedules when he was a North Lincoln. Id say playing Asheville in non conf play he's totally made up for it all if that was the case.
I know coach Beam reads these things- what's up Beam!! Best wishes and safe travels up to Asheville. Hickory area is pulling for you guys this fri night.
I ain't coming. Too much violence for me. Last time I spent time with Asheville fans was two years ago at Derierre Gentleman's Club in Myrtle Beach and nobody got hurt. Both guys played for Asheville about 5 years ago and they looked pretty mello that night. Everybody got to keep their teeth and the hoes went home with the green.Erwin has the best nachos and worst visitors restrooms in the lower 48. Never did understand why you'd want fans from both teams exiting the stadium via the same path. Had a fat guy spit tobacco on me back in the late 90's while passing by the ticket booth after a game. I knocked both of his front teeth out and the deputy who was standing their watching it told the guy he had it coming.
I don't know how good newton conover is this year because they won 73-0 last week. Now it was against a terrible team, but they still put 73 points up. Should we win? Probably but if we lost it wouldn't surprise me. I'm not anticipating a 3-4 touchdown game, although I hope you're right
Asheville easily wins......40-17
Yes it,was a bad team. 66 points by late second quarter. They might have played a terrible team last week, but they did score 73 points. It's not like they played a terrible team and won 35-14
