Does anyone know if we played in any preseason jamboree's? I know we have played at home against Latin and a couple of other teams the last few years. Any updates would be appreciated.

Albemarle played in a jamboree at Piedmont on Wednesday morning, August 10th, and at a scrimmage at Eastern Randolph on Saturday.
From what I was told, our D will have to get better.
@Chute Boxe Hero, which QB, was it the freshman? I was impressed with the 8th grade class that are now freshman. With the right coaching and discipline, this team will be great again...but they gotta want it.

I agree I think we area year or two away with these kids. But I am looking forward to watching them compete and grow. I think through the season they will get better they just have to hang in there keep battling and learning. Just focus on getting better everyday.
Nation, I honestly think we have a better group of kids here. I believe all the cancers are gone from AHS. Hopefully this group has what it takes to be great. They will take some lumps this year and the next year, but buy the time they are Juniors and Seniors they will be a force to reckon with.
I don't know anything about Mason, but if he brings discipline I'm all for it. The last 3 years have been tough. No discipline, not work ethic, nothing...and that goes on both sides.
Their first game is this Friday, I'll be listening to it on the radio, hopefully we have a decent game.
I haven't been able to see them yet but heard we are very young but talented. I am going up to Tville Friday. Looking forward to supporting them this year.
I'm hardly familiar with Albemarle football, so I'm not sure. He wore #11, looked be around six feet tall, and throws righty. He had good field awareness. He's one of those kids that struck me as the type that just "gets it".
It looked ok at times. They struggled a bit against Northwood and ER (didn't see them against SWR). Had some good balance. Ran a little option. Skill players a little on the small side but had some decent quicks.
Didn't see anything that really "wowed" me (except for QB). They did show some good fight though.
I'm no expert on the YVC but, if I had to take a guess, I'd say you guys will probably finish somewhere in the middle of the road. I'm pulling for you guys though.
