Best high school football in the state period!!! Congrats to all three teams and good luck this Asheville fan will be pulling for all three!
Kings mountain is a damn good team. I knew that in our scrimmage. Cleveland county deserves the respect they get.
Anybody wanting to see a state playoff game next week, come on down to Cleveland County, we will be offering three different venues for your viewing pleasure,

Congrats to all of the teams this far. It has been a real treat attending so many of these team's games this year and I hope everyone continues to win. I went down to Crest to pull against the Chargers last night, but as the game stayed close and I listened to those Cuth fans talking smack, I actually began to pull for Crest for the first time ever. If everyone makes it past next week, I will have a tough time choosing a game.
I had initially planned to watch the EL vs Monroe matchup, but since EL may have lost their QB for the rest of the season, I fear that Monroe may be too much for them to handle. I'll probably be choosing between the KM and Crest games the next two weeks.

What great football we have in this County and surrounding areas. Crest played 3 teams that will be playing after Thanksgiving. Good Luck to Shelby, Kings Mountain, and South Point.
I saw were this was overlooked last year too, but "little half-brother is playing in the third round too." This will be their 2nd year in a row playing in the third round of 1A ball. I just wanted to give them some recognition since I know some kids from kings mountain that goes there.

I know their not on the same level (understatement) but Coach Cash (304 career wins) has that TJ crowd in the third round also. I wish TJ could have gotten him earlier in his career, its nice to have a competitive team as compared to the doormat the TJ program was at.
Coonie, I think they meant that 3 of 4 teams from Cleveland County are still playing in the playoffs. Not the teams they played against. BTW, you guys have 10 football playing schools in Gaston County. How's Gaston County doing in the playoffs?
