I'm in kinda the same boat....me Shelby '99...her Crest '98.
Oh dear lord don't bring up vandalism with the Shelby people...remember when someone went to Shelby and did the damage last time..you would have thought the apocalypse had occurred...if some of the fans had their way those kids would have been brought up for public stoning
Crust trainers please wrap Crust defenders ankles tighter Friday night. They already gonna be sore enough trying to tackle Shelby receivers. Crust db's gonna be like bread that didn't pop up.........BURNT!
Most likely Shelby's QB is going to have so much pressure put on him his passes will be thrown short. Shelby receivers need to be good a tackling more than catching the ball. Crest db's will put points on the board if the QB is allowed to throw.
91, bless your heart you keep reminding us that your catching up but until you do this is our football town and don't ever forget it. You use to have some sense on here for a Crest fan but for some reason you have gone off the rails. Did Rulz pull you off to the side to get you on the program?

I think crest is too physical for Shelby and wins the game in the trenches.....good folks at both. What a rare event and on the last Friday of the year and on Saturday yall come on over to the Hog happening at the fairgrounds and somebody will get to do some bragging and eat some good q too . One thing we all agree on - we love our bbq in Cleveland county .
IMO, Crest must get as physical as they are allowed to get. No reason for Crest to play one minute of finesse football. That is Shelby's game, they're good at it. Not saying they aren't physical, I just believe when Crest is determined to play physical there is no one better at it. Crest is big, Crest is strong and Crest has speed where it needs it.
Shelby has a gunslinger and a ton of speed. Crest should prepare for a running game as well. I feel like if Shelby would spend more time on the run they would be as unstoppable as a team could be, and they have the backs to do it. They love to sling it around.
Got to try and bust Shelby up. Make them pay. Shelby should be forced to stop the RUN! Got plow like a tractor. See if they want too get down in the trenches, get nasty. Crest won 16 games and a title playing bruising football. Give them no choice but to put 8 in the box and then.............................. BOOM!

I believe on defense that is Shelby's best option is to load the box and put our best athletes on the field on defense matched up one on one with the receivers.It is going to be tough either way.
It's going to be tough on both teams. When Shelby spreads you out with that speed, let's just say it's much different than Ashbrook spreading you out..
Rulz last post is what worries me about this game.. Physicality... Not saying Shelby doesn't have it... But crest the last couple of years has been dominate at it... They will throw it with Willie some , but when it comes down to it, Coach Clark is gonna line those boys up behind that big line and say here we come, stop it.... That my friends worries me.....

Well SL I have more ties to the Crest program and lean that way but if you guys win I would be very happy for you because you are a good fan and support all the kids in the county. I never heard any discussion of the Burns game being moved to Thursday other than on Preps but if it would have been I would check it out. I imagine there may be a phone or two tuned in to KTC at RGS. Best of luck my friend

Rushing yards on the year - 1348 on 223 attempts
Just curious what your definition of "spend more time on the run" is...seems pretty balanced. When you throw 3 passes and score it kinda limits your run count a little.

How many times do you think you will throw three passes and score on us? I'm not saying you won't but how many times do you really think you will do that to the Crest defense? When you figure that out, then you'll figure out what I meant. I meant no disrespect in what I typed. I feel you have great running-backs, you just do not run into many teams that can stop your passing games ,the conference we play in SUCKS! Yes, Yes, I know you best those one man teams in ACR and Freedom, but they couldn’t stop me and you and 9 of our friends. I’m curious to see what happens when the passing game is not flowing as it normally does, and Shelby is forced to run into the teeth of the Crest defense. You can posture all you’d like, but that’s not your game. I have no inside information, but my guess is, if everyone over at Crest is as smart as they claim, they will run into the teeth of your defense over and over again. I’m no coach, but watching some tape it seems as if Shelby had a little trouble with the run, in a few games where there were athletes across from them. Namely the KM game. Their offensive line is porous, and they for a while ran through you for a bit. We have a huge offensive line and a tractor behind it. A tractor with speed and power
On the same token, while I believe our defense is the best you will see all year, I also believe your offense as a whole will be the best one put in front of us all year. We will be forced to defend speed as fast and in some cases faster than us. You all should throw it. I’m no genius but I wouldn’t run into Ram, Foster, Willis, Hopper, and the rest all night and expect to win the war like that. But, I digress.
I can pull stats up and show you how balanced we are, there is nothing to that. Our stats were gained on inferior competition, much like yours. Neither one of us has to worry about inferior competition this Friday. I’d like to do what we do every year. Call each other names, and tell you how we will beat each other down, but this is a once in a lifetime game. I’m sort of proud of Cleveland County, that we can put two teams on the field like these two teams. You have at it friend, tell us how we are no good, I bet your coach does not thin that. I know ours does not think that about Shelby.
