28-22 Asheville. Offense looked solid, defense didn't show up to play. Didn't help that Aquila smith sat out

I thought Aville's QB looked pretty sharp, I just hope the defense wasn't a preview of things to come this season

Burns scores on first play and we go up 19 zip after one quarter .......driving again and game called for lightning 3 minutes in second . Wheeler was pretty much contained all night . Still work to do but a good showing overall. Good job Shelby , crest and km.

Yes we are, but there is more of a passing game involved than you guys. My take on Burns.... We're very small in size and numbers. I think our offense will be better, but our defense won't be near as good. Polk wasn't a good team to give an accurate judgement of the year. They looked pretty bad. Shelby looked fantastic, KM looked good and Crest will be fine. They're starters are huge, fast and athletic. Good showing for CC football all in all. I'm glad it's football season again. Good luck to all next week.

I agree fadecca, Devon is coming along well. Offensively, we will be fine as long as Ahmad, Brewer, and Drummond get some touches as well. Got some things to work on defensively, maybe we will look better when we have all our guys out there.

I Always leave the jamboree disappointed even though I know it's the same every year. Crest hardly plays their starters and it's basically me paying to watch and see if half of crest first string can beat the other half of some other team first string.

Most folks know that and are not going to read much in to this "loss"....except maybe the AC fans...One kept yelling haha crest now you are 0-1,,,,I didnt really understand why the stud back for reynolds was in every play...even after turning his ankle he sat one play and was back in there

LD I try never to get to worked up over a scrimmage and with Shelby's first three opponents this year we will find out a lot about the Lions.As for Crest that will do wonders for them as the coaches can use that to bring them back to earth and get their studs back out there they will be very good.Also good luck to Burns this year and their new offense.

Can't believe our D looked as bad as people are saying. The O was what I was worried about this year. What kind of offense was KM running?

Thanks SHS. It is a big stage and hype for a scrimmage but it is just that ...practice. I was surprised to see BJ Hopper start at corner for ya'll. I had been hearing all summer he was going to be a backup and Camp would start there. Don't get me wrong, i'm happy for BJ and he is a good player but that just what I had been hearing.
