This is a good pick-up. He is 1st Team all MVC. He is a consistent scorer and rebounder. Doesn't get into foul trouble a lot (it appears). Even though he carried a lot of the load for a lower tier team in the league. You would have to figure that opposing teams would have planned to take away his game and still he was consistent throughout the year. He should be ready to hit the ground running and help us a lot next year!

That's kind of what we get. The guys I know in the MVP areas have universally said this is a great grab for Iowa. A one year scoring threat as Iowa transitions to Owen Freeman. Krikke can be a scoring threat that can maybe get some other bigs in foul trouble. That's a kind of defense. Real transition year. First time in several years we have a mostly new roster. The three returning starters need to raise their games, and likely will. If so, Krikke will be just fine for Iowa's purposes.

Recall how many times Garza got easy buckets by running straight to the rim on a fast break? Yeah, given this guy's shot-making skills in the paint, it's a great fit.
