Will need Pat to grow up quickly and Mason to play some small ball 5, which he can. Pat is a five star who you can tell has alot. of offensive talent.

Someone here believe said maybe a separated shoulder- a quick search of that says up to 12 weeks…

Not to be a Downer, Dan, but I don't think we are cutting them down without Maliq. We're just too damn young down low now, and he made us so much better. This f$%king sucks.

Assuming Brown will be out for the year, we should still be able to get a one seed, esp. if we beat Illinois. But he does seem like the guy who could get us over the hump and one of the few players we can least afford to lose. There is still a chance he comes back, but between this and the other two injuries he will have missed a lot of time.

I do think final four would be a good season. And we still have a shot at winning it all. I like Gillis and Pat, but they just can't do the things Brown can do on defense.

I'm just tired of injuries derailing our seasons. '11 Irving, '13 Kelly, '16 Jefferson, '17 a myriad of injuries, '19 Zion's shoe and we were never the same, '23 Mitchell before Tennessee, and now Maliq. Hurley in '92 and '01 Booz are the only ones that overcame it. And those were special teams. Maybe this is a group that can? I hope they prove me wrong, but I'm just not feeling positive now.

We could ill afford that injury to Malik. Such a crucial player for us. Agree with others that if he is out the treat of the way our chances of a title are likely done. He’s just such a Crucial player.

I hate the way most of the non-Duke media focuses on Flagg and so little on what makes this team roll, to the degree that they will ignore this injury. It’s so deflating.

I hate to hear this about Brown, but I refuse to believe we still can't win it all. We have a very good team, led by a guy that can do it all. Mal is going to have to man up. Others like Gillis, Evans, Pat, and possibly Foster are now needed more than ever.

Jon may have to sprinkle in a little zone from time to time to protect some from foul trouble too.

WHY ARE PEOPLE ASSUMING BROWN IS OUT FOR THE YEAR?????

He has a dislocated shoulder. I'm no doctor, but everything I have gathered is that this injury could be as minor as 7-10 days (if no tear) and as major as out for the season. He was supposedly getting tests done last night, who knows what the results were??? Being Duke I'm not sure we will even get clear news this week, which is annoying, but stay positive! He could be back.

And yeah, our chances to win the title decrease for sure, but we still have a chance.

I agree with Duke Dallas. Our margin of error is just smaller if Brown is out. Pat and Gillis will have to step up and Mal will have to play smarter and not get in foul trouble. Let's just hope for the best

CuZ dR gOoGlE sAyS sO lol

What Jon said last night was a generic answer, how many times have we been here with a Duke injury. As you said if results are clear he’ll be back soon

Just another note- a dr on twitter was asked to look at video he said just off that he thought likely a reinjury and not a major new issue

I have a damaged nerve that happened in a car accident from my seat belt. I have limited movement in my arm and when I move it wrong, that's the face I make what you saw on his face. Lol. I knew what pain he was feeling right away.

Nope. I'm not. I also said I hoped to be wrong. I want to win badly, but we can't ignore his importance to our team and chances.
I’m not trying to be rude to you either but I’m 95% sure you’re overreacting. This team is dang good he makes us even better but we can lose anyone to injury with the exception of 2 guys and still be top 5. I’ll let you decide who I mean by those
