Great win, but there is something off about North Carolina this year. Hopefully they don't figure it out.

This core group for Unc has always been mediocre for their 3 seasons together. Yes, I know they beat Duke twice last season and went on their run. But for the last 3 seasons, including this one, Unc has sustained multiple losses.

20-21: Got blown out in the first round of the ncaa tournament

21-22: Got hot and went on their run.

22-23: They had a lot of hype coming into the season since they returned 4 starters from last year’s team. Some posters even on here were not giving our Blue Devils a chance to compete with them (this is why you still have to play the games). Unc was never going to sneak up on anyone this season like they did last season, opposing teams scouted their tapes from last season. Manek was an integral part of their run last season. Remember, Unc was struggling to close out Baylor in the ncaa tournament after Manek had been ejected in that game.

This Unc core group has been 8/9 seeds in the last two tournaments.

I know Love has killed us at times in the past, but he is the exact type of player no one wants on their team. I actually think Davis is a very solid player, but Love is a black hole for them. Just launching from anywhere like he thinks he's Steph Curry.

IDK... I see what you're saying, but he's got some monster-under-the-bed power over me. 😂

I always love beating those douchers, but this crop of **** talking, flopping, media blundered dip sh!ts are about as bad as I’ve seen in all my years of following college basketball. It’s also nice that the rest of the country has realized that this crop of Hubey’s boys are complete idiots.

I visited the Cheat boards. It's similar to what a virtual reality participation interactive with the series, "The Last of Us" would be like. I went for the purpose of schadenfreude, but the doom and gloom are almost depressive even to me. The only fight back left in them were the occasional rants at the "biased" refs. LOL, if this continues, I believe that they will achieve another first, the first pre-season number one in history to fail to make the tournament.

If games are called like this going forward, Duke may never lose again and unc may never win again.

(Sarcasm)

Glad the refs allowed both teams to play.

My quick observation from last night: Duke played like unc teams from the past (scoring on fast break opportunities, rebounding and blocking shots with players improving headed towards March) and unc played like Duke teams from the past (living and dying by the 3…they shot 27 times from beyond the arc and having older players who may have peaked and probably won’t play in the NBA).

Their team is totally different without Manek. He was their engine last year….
Honestly, I think it was a combination of Manek and the departure of Dawson Garcia. They were a much better team when Garcia left because Manek could start at the 4 and each player knew their role. When Garcia was there, they would move Manek to the 5 or Garcia in the paint, which was not working long term. Manek could allow their offense to flow.

I think it’s funny that for many years unc fans ridiculed K for not playing his bench, now it’s Hubert doing the same. 🤪

Carolina is not the same team they were last season. I doubt they will fail to figure it out before the big dance. There's too much talent on that team for them not to. If they don't, what a massive failure on Hub's part.

It's interesting that a lot of them are calling for Hubert's job. He made the national championship game last year. he is also a former player like Jon. They could still make it in. Maybe a play in game or something.

If they lose Tuesday, look out. That could be a free fall for them. They are talented, though, so I would guess they find a way to figure it out.

We are going to have a completely different game at UNC in month. No doubt they will be forcing the ball to Bacot over and over, looking to get Lively and others in foul trouble and get to the line more often. If they don't, Hubert is even worse than I thought.

We see it every year. This year, it's UNC, Kentucky and Michigan State. I would bet that at least 2 of those 3, maybe all 3, make the tournament. MSU always seems to get in with double digit losses. They do play a tough out of conference schedule every year, so that helps.
